Who Is Gina Igwe, The Woman Behind DoorDash’s Most Inspiring Campaigns?

What was your most unforgettable experience with a DoorDash ad? Maybe the DoorDash ads and team-ups during Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup 2026, which the world’s number one food delivery app does in perservence, since, hey, it’s the Super Bowl!

Then, there are those DoorDash ads created by a woman named Gina Igwe for the food delivery app brand, and who knows? She might have chatted with Ridesharingforum.com once or twice!

Perhaps the most popular campaign and ad from Igwe for DoorDash is that which brings the typical moms’ group chat to life.

The campaign utilized moms to relay the message of moms indulging in DoorDash coupons, or to promote those coupons.

And, it’s star-studded! The ad features Stassi Schroeder Clark of ‘House of Stassi’ as the “Hype Woman,” Bozoma Saint John of ‘The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ as the “Boss Bestie,” influencer and comedian Shannon Ford Middleton as “The DIYer,” and breakout personality Miranda Hope of ‘The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives’ as the “Content Queen.” Way to go, DoorDash!

“This campaign felt deeply personal to me as a mum of three," stated Igwe, the deputy and head of brand and consumer marketing at DoorDash. "Mums are mentors and magicians - generous with wisdom and always sharing tips, tricks and life hacks with their communities. DoorDash makes it easy for consumers everywhere to show up and support all the mother figures in their lives. Whether it’s ordering their favourite sweet treat, spa day essentials or a beautiful bouquet of flowers for mum, DoorDash makes celebrating Mother’s Day as effortless as sharing a meme.”

It’s not an overstatement to say that each ad Igwe does for DoorDash is impactful. Now, she’s making the news, being on top of Google for these creations! She has been behind some, if not all of DoorDash’s culturally-relevant campaigns featuring singers, soccer athletes, and creators, but whos is Igwe?

According to her LinkedIn profile, Igwe graduated from Santa Clara University, not Harvard or Stanford, but she’s been with DoorDash for seven years now. Prior to DoorDash, she also worked with international big brands, such as Uber, Twitter, and more, with stints for TripIt and YouSendIt, to name a few. So, she’s pretty much quite experienced.

With DoorDash, she worked with the company’s brand, creative, and consumer marketing, overseeing and managing all of consumer marketing in the USA and Canada, including brand strategies, creative, partnerships, performance marketing, and retention.

Her campaigns, well, culturally-relevant.

And that’s why she’s remarkable in the industry.

She’s also behind the famous “Order, Delivered” for DoorDash, which is a little bit comedic, featuring different personalities and profiles, such as a mommy suffering from post-partum stress. So maybe you remember.

Those are not the only creations she did with DoorDash. Do you have insights to share about this campaign? Open your account now on RSF, and share your thoughts! Okay, ‘til then!
