UberEats Sees Strength In Maintaining Partnerships

Just when you thought partnerships are already a bygone era, then you must be wrong. Inviting others to join networks, such as what UberEats has, isn’t the only route. UberEats is seeing strength in keeping partnerships alive and kicking.

For instance, UberEats’ collaboration with companies such as Instacart, Costco, and Domino’s has illuminated the future of this ridesharing platform.

Instacart, a San Francisco-based delivery company, operates a web-based and mobile-based grocery delivery and pick-up service, allowing you to order not only groceries but also alcohol. You may also use Instacart to get a personal shopper, in charge of picking, packing, and delivering orders in terms of how you want this to be.

In May 2024, just last year, Instacart unveiled its strategic partnership bringing the restaurant delivery to Instacart’s customers. Instacart customers in the country can use the Instacart app to order from several restaurants that UberEats powers.

“Our goal is to make it effortless for people to go anywhere and get anything,” stated Dara Khosrowshahi, Uber’s CEO. “We’re excited that this new strategic partnership with Instacart will bring the magic of Uber Eats to even more consumers, drive more business for restaurants, and create more earnings opportunities for couriers.”

Meanwhile, its collaboration with Costco is also promising. During that same month, UberEats users who are also members of Costco can get access to special discounts. These members can likewise get 20 percent off a yearly membership with Uber One.

“As of Wednesday, users in select locations across the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Japan can order a number of Costco products through the Uber Eats app, whether they have a Costco membership or not,” a story on Investopedia said.

Netizens called this partnership “a solid perk.” On Reddit, somebody commented, “Article says Costco members can also get 20% off Uber One membership. That’s a solid perk actually. Anyone else like that?”

Then, back in 2023, UberEats also partnered with Domino’s, one of the world’s most renowned pizza restaurants. The deal allowed customers from the United States to order products from Domino’s via the UberEats platform, as well as the Postmates app, as trained delivery experts of the restaurant, alongside their franchisees, deliver your orders.

“Domino’s has a history of successfully entering new marketplaces,” said Domino’s chief executive officer Russell Weiner.

Weiner added that Domino’s has become a leader in the delivery and carryout pizza marketplaces in the United States. This also includes selling more food via its digital platform than any other company in America.

How important are partnerships? Alexander Pauls on LinkedIn shared insights, saying that partnerships are vital in life and business.

“Partnerships are invaluable in life and in business. Working with people with different skill sets and knowledge than you brings so many great ideas to the table,” he said. Business specialists, such as those in the Forbes publication also agree.
