Don’t be confused. It’s not Family Dollar as the Ridesharing Forum team previously reported, but Dollar General this time. Here’s the scoop.
Uber Eats x Dollar General
Without Dollar General for the American people, there’s really no life at all. Headquartered in Tennessee, this is your chain of variety stores offering a wide range of discounted merchandise, such as groceries, cleaning supplies, home decorations, clothing, health products, and beauty goods.
Like Family Dollar and Costco, it is known for its incredibly low prices and convenient, small-box store format, often found in residential areas. It has been their mission to “Serve Others” – yes, that’s their branding over at Google – by providing low prices and convenience daily.
Now, they’re with Uber Eats.
Imagine that power.
Dollar General Corporation is the latest partner of the world’s top one food delivery platform, bringing together over 14,000 Dollar General locations to the Uber Eats app.
Beginning this week and expanding this month, as the partnership isn’t yet in full scale since announcement, you could tap to order an expansive mix of affordable household essentials, and not just household essentials, but also food, fun, and trendy items delivered straight to your doorsteps. Choose whether you want them on-demand or scheduled – all via Uber Eats.
The chief marketing officer of Dollar General, Tony Rogers, told Ridesharing Forum, “Our customers will enjoy even greater convenience through our Uber Eats partnership, accessing everything from food to essential household items, saving them valuable time and money. Providing communities with affordable, fresh, and accessible food options delivered right to their front door is aligned with our mission of Serving Others.”
Right there.
Discounts, perks
The incredible doesn’t end there. In order to celebrate this majestic launch, Uber Eats is offering a whopping 40 percent off your Dollar General and pOpshelf orders, provided they are a minimum of $20 or up to $10 using this voucher code: 40GENERAL.
Are you an Uber One member? You can enjoy $0 delivery fees on eligible orders and other exclusive savings. How about that?
So, here’s how you can access the fruits of this partnership:
- Start by downloading the official Uber Eats app – be careful of scammy Uber Eats apps that are unofficial – and proceed to the “Grocery” or “Covenience” section, depending on what you’ll buy.
- Then, look for Dollar General or pOpshelf to explore a wide array of food, beverages, and essentials.
- Add in the items you wish to purchase, select a delivery time, and place that order.
- Lastly, track your delivery in real-time, wait for them to arrive at your doorstep, and voila! Enjoy those household essentials in almost an instant.
For Uber Eats, it “dynamic and flexible.”
“Retailers today are navigating a rapidly changing landscape—consumers expect convenience, speed, and accessibility like never before. Through this partnership Dollar General and Uber Eats are meeting those expectations. We’re proud to help extend Dollar General’s reach into the on-demand economy, and to help retailers like DG serve their customers in more dynamic and flexible ways,” stated Hashim Amin, Uber’s head of grocery and retail.
