Uber Eats has once again been cited with the best campaign, but this time by Australian media.
Leading news publication magazine in Australia for the advertising, marketing, media and PR industries B&T places the spotlight for Uber Eats, together with KitKat, Cadbury, and Hinge as having the best campaigns lately.
Congratulations, Uber Eats!
Particularly, Uber Eats’ newest Eh?! value campaign, which Ridesharingforum.com recently featured here, was what gained the attention of B&T.
In the campaign, comedic actor Akihiro Kakuta is in the limelight for this 30-second heroic movie that turned the usual chore of shopping into a hilarious, escalating saga. All to promote the fact that some items on Uber Eats are of the same price in-store.
The ad opened with Kakuta-san embarking on a multi-stop shopping journey after work, trekking from store-to-store, meeting strangers and eager passersby starting sharing the news that Ubear Eats, or Uber Eats, now matches the prices of the items in-store. Way to go!
The creative team behind the campaign explains, “The aim of this campaign is to show busy consumers across Japan that Uber Eats offers an extensive selection of products at the same prices as in-store. Building on the first phase of the campaign, we hope to bring this new level of everyday convenience to life through the humorous reactions of Kakuta-san from the comedy trio Tokyo 03. By showing how people can now have the things they need delivered quickly, at the same prices as in-store, we hope to make this convenience feel both relatable and accessible to consumers across Japan.”
How about for KitKat, Cadbury, others?
Joining the list are brands like KitKat and Cadbury. For KitKat, it’s their “Break Hai Toh Vibe Hai” that captured the attention of Australian media.
In this campaign of one of the world’s leading chocolatiers, KitKat is depicted as that product that can change the mood of a holiday gathering.
“VML India conceptualised a new festive campaign for KitKat that found humour in the little niggles that come with the festive season. From last-minute preparations to unexpected mishaps, festivals are filled with moments when things don’t quite go as planned,” stated B&T. “While this everyday chaos is an inevitable part of celebrations, it can sometimes get in the way of enjoying the occasion. Through relatable situations and a playful narrative, the campaign brought these familiar festive moments to life because all it takes is a break with KitKat to get back to the happiness of celebrating.”
Then, there’s Cadbury, another chocolate brand, whose campaign titled “ThisNokJhokIsSweet” earned the spotlight.
It banks on Diwali, as the campaign puts the spotlight on the tiny tiffs that come with living in close quarters, and the affection formed beneath this space.
It centers on the theme of neighborhood, and how neighbors can become close through thick and thin as well.
“A little nok-jhok over a parking spot, a shared boundary wall, a pet, a noisy late-night party, or a game of cricket in the compound can quickly turn into a full-blown disagreement. But come Diwali, these everyday differences also become a chance to pause, reconnect, and start afresh,” wrote B&T.
The awards were presented by Pinterest, alongside other prominent brands in Australia and worldwide. For more food delivery news, keep it locked right here on RSF! ‘Til then!
