Uber Eats becomes the first brand to sponsor the comedy category of Amazon Prime Video UK, Amazon has announced. This freshest sponsorship took off on March 19th, coinciding with the Season 2 premiere of British comedy reality TV series, “LOL: Last One Laughing UK.”
Uber and Uber Eats UK’s head of marketing, Maya Gallego Spiers, stated, “Comedy brings people together, and so does great food. Partnering with Prime Video’s comedy slate, including Last One Laughing, is a brilliant way for Uber Eats to show up in the moments the UK loves most. Whether viewers are craving Rosa’s Thai, PizzaExpress, JOE & THE JUICE, or Mowgli, or discovering a favourite local independent, we’re ready to deliver straight to the sofa.”
Spiers also added that with these “bold creative and interactive formats,” this collaboration is seen to help turn huge laughs into even bigger nights.
This fresh sponsorship also covers upcoming comedy shows, such as “Bait” and “Would You Rather: Decide to Survive,” as well as popular comedies on Prime Video, such as “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” “Jury Duty,” “Fleabag,” and “Two and a Half Men.”
Uber Eats is bound to air a 30-second commercial and a 10-second bumper across these titles, giving the brand ownership of pre-roll placements whilst driving consistent visibility across Prime Video during high attention moments.
Interactive ad formats will also be among the highlights of the campaign. There will also be Interactive Video ads that enable the audiences to click their remote to receive further information through email on unique Uber Eats promotions.
Aside from those, there will also be Pause ads, which will enable brands to reach viewers at the most natural moments without disrupting the viewer experience.
Plus, aside from ads appearing ahead of Amazon Prime Video’s comedy shows, this sponsorship from Uber Eats will also incorporate advertising placements across the Prime Video homepage wherein comedy will have the tag, “Presented by Uber Eats.” Wonderful.
“Comedy is one of the most loved and most watched categories on TV in the UK, and we’re thrilled to welcome Uber Eats as sponsor of comedy on Prime Video,” Amazon Ads director Krishan Patel said. “Prime Video reaches an ad-supported audience equivalent to more than a third of UK adults every month – and sponsorships like this give brands the opportunity to show up alongside content that viewers are genuinely passionate about. For Uber Eats, this is a chance to build a real connection with engaged audiences at the moments they’re most receptive – and we look forward to seeing that come to life across our comedy slate.”
This is also the ideal opportunity because the debut series of “Last One Laughing UK” was the most-watched program on ad-supported streaming during its first 28 days of release.
The latest season, hosted by Jimmy Carr and Roisin Conaty, features a line-up that consists of David Mitchell, Diane Morgan, Romesh Ranganathan, Alan Carr, Mel Giedroyc, and Season 1 winner Bob Mortimer, who returns to defend his title.
