Further expansion of Uber Eats
Uber Eats is further expanding its growing catalog of grocers. Earlier this week, Uber Eats announced partnerships with several fresh new grocery retailers across the USA.
Under this expansion, regional grocery brands are available for seeing on the Uber Eats Marketplace. So, yes, the focus is on regional brands.
“When it comes to grocery shopping, local preference matters,” stated the dashing Hashim Amin, the head of Grocery and Retail in North America at Uber. “Whether it’s a regional chain that has been part of a community for decades or a neighborhood market customers visit every week, people want familiar grocery options that fit their routines. These new partnerships help us bring more of those local favorites to Uber Eats while creating new opportunities for grocers to grow their business.”
These partnerships further broaden the nationwide grocery footprint of Uber Eats, offering shoppers a more convenient way to order everything from weekly grocery stock-ups to last-minute essentials from their neighborhood staples.
Customers can shop from these participating stores through multi-apps, so it’s not merely through Uber Eats, but also, guess, guess what? Uber and Postmates! They can access on-demand and scheduled deliveries, as well as real-time order tracking. Here are the new grocery stores on the Uber Eats catalog:
Piggy Wiggly is the first true self-service grocery store in America, and its North Carolina branches are now available on Uber Eats.
Busch’s Fresh Food Market is family-owned, serving Michigan for over five decades now. It is known for fresh produce, meat and seafood, chef-prepared meals, local partnerships, and even hospitality.
Hays, a family-owned grocery retailer with almost 150 years of history serving communities across Arkansas and Missouri through its Hays Supermarkets and Food Smart banners.
Lastly, there’s Lowe’s Market whose family of banners serve Texas communities with fresh produce, pantry staples, local favorites, and a neighborhood, home-y grocery experience.
Killing the game: How to access
To access these grocery stores and their products, launch the Uber Eats official app, then tap “Grocery” or the Uber app, then tap “Shops.”
Then, select your local Busch’s Fresh Food Market, Hays, Lowe’s Market, or Piggly Wiggly store. You may also find other grocery stores listed there that were previously added by Uber Eats.
