Plus, guides on how to order during your Cancun vacation, and know the non-food items now available on the app.

Non-food items now on Uber Eats

The official Uber Eats website lists what you could now order via the app. So, it’s not only food and things groceries. These items include alcoholic drinks, curry sauce, jams and jellies, skincare, candies, turkey, and so much more. See the list here.

Starting very soon, Uber Eats fans could order electronics and other tech products, such as headphones, laptops, gaming gear, and even tiny appliances right via the app.

Plus, over 800 Best Buy venues are joining, expanding on the company’s current delivery tie-ups with Instacart and DoorDash. This was also reported by Ridesharing Forum previously this week.

How not to get scammed

Right now, the most popular scams on Uber Eats are phishing scams. These scams are spoofing, not particularly imitating or duplicating Uber Eats.

Google advises that for you not to fall prey to these scams, be cautious of suspicious emails, texts, or calls asking for your personal information or verification codes. This should be a no-brainer, so you should be able to easily spot these. Remember that Uber Eats won’t ask for these details outside the official app or website. Even if you’re not aware or getting hypnotized, Uber won’t.

Likewise, always confirm you are in the official Uber Eats website or app, never share your one-time passwords, and it is recommended to enable two-factor authentication for your account.

Yes, Uber Eats delivers to Cancun

Cancun, Mexico is such a nice place, a paradise. If you think summer’s done and it’s already autumn, think again. This place still welcomes lots of tourists as of press time.

An interesting article on Cancun Sun posed the question on whether you could get Uber Eats delivered to your Cancun room. The answer is yes.

“It’s the small moment that can send a jolt of panic through an otherwise perfect Cancun vacation. You’re at the pool and realize you forgot your good sunscreen. You get back to the room late and are hit with a sudden, intense craving for a simple McDonald’s cheeseburger,” the story enticed.

While you couldn’t directly ask Uber Eats to, “Hey, bring me my McDonald’s cheeseburger meal to my room, immediately!,” the secret lies on Uber Eats and delivery app Rappi working together.

With Rappi’s recent launch of its super-fast “Turbo” service in Cancun, a forgotten essential could now be at your hotel gate in just about… 10 minutes? Cancun Sun stated.

However, there is a golden rule. While having the delivery guy meet you in front of your hotel room’s door is ideal, you must instead meet them at your hotel’s main gate. Cancun is Cancun.
