Uber Eats Eyes Launch In Kaitāia, A North Island Town In New Zealand

It’s amazing how Uber Eats has reached even the far-flung areas of the globe, from the United States to the opposite side, New Zealand.

And, in New Zealand, there’s this town on its North Island, Kaitāia, a quaint, small urban area that thrives mostly no rural farming, dealing with sheep, cattle, and dairy cattle.

The term “Kaitāia” actually means “ample food,” “kai” being the Māori word for “food.”

More so, if you are a citizen of the USA, you could travel to New Zealand without needing a visa, as well as travelers from many other nations, such as Argentina, Brazil, Hong Kong in China, Israel, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Taiwan, the Vatican City, and more.

There are so many things you can do in this North Island town. You could start your expedition to Cape Reinga and Ninety Mile Beach, where you can learn the interesting mix of Maori and Dalmatian ancestries.

Other things to do include visiting the Carrington Estate Golf Course, checking into the lodge and villas, and taking the Eco Valley Night Time Nature Tours. Furthermore, it’s also fun to explore authentic New Zealand cuisine here.

So, Uber has seen this as an opportunity to touch base with the Kaitāia, New Zealand, market.

Ridesharing media are now discussing Uber’s possible launch of its services here, which has excited local businesses and residents, especially since the launch might happen later this month.

This is the perfect way for locals to experience better transportation and food deliveries when they need to go to their worksplaces, such as the fields, and for international tourists to find their way around.

Plus, there are even perks you don’t want to miss. For one, according to the Uber Eats official website, a limited-time offer will be available to new delivery people who deliver via Uber Eats not just in Kaitāia, but also in Stratford, Cromwell, Dannevirke, Alexandra, Whitianga, Waihīa and Carterton.

Eligible delivery riders could get the chance to receive an extra $200 for simply activating their account to deliver with Uber Eats before August 27th.

Not only that, but when they are able to complete 20 eligible deliveries on or before October 8th in the areas of Kaitāia, Stratford, Cromwell, Dannevirke, Alexandra, Whitianga, Waihīa or Carterton, they get the chance to receive $500 more.

By “eligible delivery,” this means any Uber Eats or Pack and Deliver deliveries completed. Terms and conditions apply.

The Uber Eats executives are happy about this plan.

“We hope to bring the convenience of Uber Eats to Kaitāia soon and will be in touch, if and when this is confirmed,” Uber Eats told ridesharing media.
