Aside from spring cleaning, the spring season is also about tax season. To those of you who don’t know – maybe you are living inside a cave – tax season is the designated period, usually in the first few quarters of the year, when people and businesses prepare and submit their income tax returns to government authorities, such as the IRS in the USA.
Sounds dreadful, but tax season doesn’t have to be dreadful. And, Grubhub knows how to navigate this very well.
After it eliminated delivery fees and service fees on restaurant orders over $50, as previously reported here on Ridesharing Forum, Grubhub is going to help you ease the pain during tax season. And, it has teamed up with a famous comedian. Here’s the scoop.
‘Taxiety’
Anxiety over taxes is real, and it’s also “Reel.” On the heels of eliminating those delivery fees, Grubhub is taking things further this Tax Day with the historic Grubhub Fee Return.
Grubhub Fee Return is a nationwide effort designed to give back $100,000 in Grubhub credit to 5,000 diners who paid food delivery fees from any food delivery app, not only Grubhub, in 2025.
Imagine a tax refund, but for food deliveries.
And, to make this campaign even stronger, Grubhub has tapped the famous comedian Veronika Slowikowska to add an oomph of comic relief.
“Tax season and I have a very complicated relationship. Being forced to revisit all my financial decisions from the past year has definitely led to some spiraling and maybe a little secret bill-shredding,” stated Slowikowska. “But unlike my past mistakes, delivery fees and service fees on bigger Grubhub orders are already a thing of the past, which feels like real growth. And now they’re giving people the opportunity to get back some of the fees from last year’s orders? I was like… finally. Something I can get behind. Let’s bring a little cheer to this otherwise painful moment.”
Slowikowska is a “Saturday Night Live” cast member. She is a Canadian actress and comedia currently based in New York City. She is also famous for her comedic sketches on Instagram and TikTok.

Deal starts today
Following yesterday’s gastronomic challenge commencement, today, April 6th, the deal has started. Diners can file their Grubhub Fee Return eligibility application through submitting any receipt from 2025 from any food delivery app with fees for a chance to win $20 in Grubhub credit.
This is an amazing and incredible opportunity for the neary half of Americans who think tax season is the most financially stressful time of the year.
Plus, to add in even more fun, you can check out these deals from fan favorites like Krispy Kreme, as shared by Men’s Journal. Happy filing!
