Brand-new day, brand-new stories. Uber Eats is continuously expanding outside its market in the USA, such as in Canada, where it is making available T&T Supermarket on its catalog.
Apparently, T&T Supermarket is actually the biggest Asian supermarket chain in Canada. So, there are two significant points to keep in mind in here. First, the grocer is headquartered in Canada, and second, it’s Asian.
Tagging itself as the largest Chinese grocery store chain in Canada, T&T Supermarket offers a wide selection of imported Asian products, the freshest produce, seafood, and famous ready-to-eat hot food, including the world’s fave, the egg tarts. It also specializes in fresh vegetables, fresh fruits, fresh seafood, Asian snacks, and even Korean and Japanese beauty products.
It was founded in 1993 and is based in British Columbia, a Canadian province. It operates over 30 stores in this North American country, and is expanding into the United States, too.
Each of those products, you could order via Uber Eats. However, not every location of T&T Supermarket is on Uber Eats, but just those across the Canadian areas of Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario. Quebec’s branches are rolling out on the app very soon.
Tina Lee, the CEO of T&T Supermarket, told Ridesharing Forum, “Uber Eats gives customers who live or work near T&T a fast, familiar way to enjoy the freshness and value we’re known for. T&T is a destination for food discovery. You can now try exotic fruits from Asia, replenish freshly baked breads and buns, and treat yourself to our famous egg tarts all in one go. It’s an easy way to get what you need quickly from the comfort of your own home.”
Nice news! Now, here’s how you can order your Uber Eats deliveries from T&T Supermarket. First, launch the Uber Eats official app and tap the Grocery category, just you would normally do. Then, look for T&T Supermarket.
From here on, add your desired items to your cart, choose the delivery time, and place your orders. Then, you may track your deliveries in real-time. Easy-peasy, indeed.
The beginnings of T&T Supermarket were from Cindy Lee, a Taiwanese immigrant and a working mother of three, who had this dream: “to help families by bringing the best of Asian fresh food and groceries under one roof."
She then ushered in the help of her husband, Jack, so they were able to open two stores in British Columbia. If T&T sounds like your favorite song from TWICE, it actually means “Tina & Tiffany,” her daughters.
“T&T Supermarket offers an incredible selection of fresh, high-quality products that are beloved by Canadians across the country,” Uber Eats Canada’s retail head, Klaas Knieriem, pointed out. “We’re excited to expand the variety of groceries offered on Uber Eats, providing our customers the convenience of ordering trusted brands right to their doorstep.”
