What will you do if you ordered your food through Uber Eats, but were told to pick-up the food yourself? For this woman in New York, it became her ticket to online stardom, as she was caught on camera doing that! Here’s the latest.
The woman from Hicksville, New York, who identifies herself as Danielle Spinato, ordered her lunch through Uber Eats while at work, only to get shocked when she needed to collect the order herself! True story! The point of online ordering, correct!
The comedic scenario, like that Russian woman being told to eat her German friend’s leftover dates dish, was captured on camera, through her home security camera, recording the delivery driver arriving with the food, then Spinato collecting the food by herself.
In the video, spanning one minute and 20 seconds, taken from what appears to be her home’s garage, it showed the delivery driver leaving the food on the flooring, taking a picture of the surroundings as proof, and getting back to the car.
Moments later, the video showed her in the office knowing she needed to pick the order up from her home address. But, she’s in the office! Did she pick the order up? Oh, yes, she did! That was funny!
“A New York woman ordered lunch while she was at work, her food arrived right on time, only not where she was. Then, her mobile asked her to rate a meal she never got. [The driver] sent it to her home address instead of her office, so she left work to pick-up the food she had already paid someone to deliver… 30 minutes later,” the video’s caption wrote.
Apparently, the woman had accidentally entered her home address instead of her workplace when placing the order. After paying for delivery to the wrong location, she had to leave work, get in her car, and drive home to pick up the meal herself.
Who’s in the wrong here? Well, probably, it’s the lady. The customer! Sometimes, customers miss certain details on the food delivery app, such as changing the address of destination when you usually order food to be brought at home, and you’re in the office.
As the the delivery riders, they cannot be blamed because they only follow what’s on their system. And, why would they deliver to the wrong address in the first place? More so, things can get worse if you’ve pre-paid your order via the app, or credit card.
