Gearing Up For Uber Eats’ Historic (And Most Delicious) Run In Great Britain In The Weekend!

It’s not only in hikes when you get the chance to buy food each time a trail is finished, but also during a running event, that’s right. Except perhaps, that the food in this upcoming run is for free! Yes!

Imagine being fed by the delicious food each time you reach a checkpoint… well, only in Uber Eats.

Ridesharingforum.com knows, it knows that the run was concluded last November 1st, but the promotions and perks that follow suit are still in place.

There is an on-going Uber Eats Morsel Marathon promotion that gives away 26 percent off orders over £26 at the 26 participating restaurants. The discounts are available now, while the promotion runs – yes, it runs – from November 3rd to November 8th.

“A full list of the participating restaurants is available through Uber Eats on Instagram and TikTok,” stated the MATO website.

So, what is the Uber Eats Morsel Marathon about, and what happened?

Held last Sunday, the Uber Eats Morsel Marathon is like your typical run shows, but not the length of a marathon at 11.5 kilometers. Yes, there are medals to win, but instead of the 26 miles to endure, there are 26 checkpoints where runners were able to take a bite of food from the best restaurants in the neighorhood.

So yes, there were snacks ever around 0.4 kilometers or so, and they’re eating 26 times, since there are 26 checkpoints. That’s why it’s a marathon.

Hundreds of runners from London took part, swapping energy gels for something tasty, something delicious. They got fueled by these food:

  • Mini-pizzas
  • Gyozas
  • Chicken bites
  • Pastries
  • And so much more!

The route was pretty interesting, too! The route around east London has been mapped by Charlie Dark, the founder of Run Dem Crew.

Meanwhile, the participating London restaurants include Tofu Vegan, Beigel Bake, Bleecker Burger and Roti King alongside chains like Ole and Steen, Joe and the Juice, Wagamama and Rosa’s Thai. So yes, there’s a chance you can get some delicious, authentic Pad Thai!

“These days, no Londoner is surprised by the sight of a running club. Leave your home on a weekend morning and no doubt you’ll soon spot a herd of sweaty joggers pounding the pavement, whooping as they approach their destination, or chatting over coffee,” wrote a correspondent on Broadsheet.com on how they geared up. “But yesterday, anyone out in Shoreditch would’ve witnessed something a little more surprising. Uber Eats launched its world-first Morsel Marathon – a 11km running route across London dedicated to culinary exploration. Instead of regular checkpoints, runners stopped by 26 of the capital’s best-loved restaurants, bakeries and eateries. And while the event might be over, there’s a way Londoners can still participate – and potentially win £262 of Uber Eats credit – keep reading to find out how.”
