Expensify Is Also Already With Uber To Automate Travel, Meal Receipts

Running on cloud, Expensify provides a spend management software that’s designed to simplify receipt and expense tracking. It automates expense tracking, reporting, and reimbursement for both businesses and individuals. It makes use of features such as scanning receipts using OCR technology to create expense reports automatically. It is integrated with accounting software to enhance financial processes.

Weeks ago, Ridesharing Forum reported Expensify partnering with DoorDash. This week, Expesify is also already with Uber and Uber Eats.

Accounting media reported that the two firms have integrated and collaborated together to completely automate receipt collection for employee Uber rides and Uber Eats orders, offering a seamless and scalable way to manage travel and dining experiences while taking the road for work.

The collaboration is categorized as improved expense integration, particularly with Uber for Business, to start with, which is a platform for companies so they could streamline business travel.

Under this integration, the collection of receipts for employee Uber rides and Uber Eats orders will offer a seamless and scalable way to administer travel and dining experiences while operations take place.

The moment Uber and Expensify accounts are connected, electronic receipts from employees’ Uber business profiles are automatically sent to Expensify, which eliminates manual uploads, missed receipts, and hours of data entry. Generally, it’s the same way Expensify works for DoorDash.

“Uber rides and meals are some of the most expensed items for employees. We know how time-consuming it can be to hunt down receipts and get expense reports submitted in time. Through our newly improved integration with Expensify, we’re continuing to streamline this process so employees can spend less time on admin work and more time on their daily tasks, while making business travel expense management more seamless and compliant for their employers,” Josh Butler of Uber for Business stated.

The features of the brand-new integration of Uber with Expensify are as follows:

  • Expense reporting is automated. Electronic or digital receipts from rides and meals ordered through Uber and Uber Eats flow automatically into Expensify, completely categorized and reconciled.
  • Second, the policy and compliance tools are stronger. Administrators could apply ride and meal policies across the board or across the company, or according to batches, while automated roster management guarantees only eligible employees are invited.
  • It’s compatible worldwide. Uber receipts, with this partnership, will more strongly meet international invoicing standards, simplifying the management of global expenses.
  • Companies are to receive 24/7 expert assistance via Uber for Business, with a robust help center coming in to support.

Marvelous, then. The chief product officer in Expensify, Jason Mills, agrees that companies want seamless and automated tools that make everyday work easier and simpler.

“This upgraded integration with Uber for Business removes the hassle of managing receipts for employees, automates reconciliation for finance teams, and delivers real-time insight into company spend, all without anyone lifting a finger,” Mills pointed out.
