Well, first things first, Uber Eats Pro is a loyalty program that goes with granting rewards, exclusively designed for food delivery couriers. So, step aside customers first because this is the moment for these delivery staff.
It operates based upon four tiers, that’s right, four tiers – Green, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond. Interesting to see that Green is listed higher up than Gold, but going back to the discussion, here, drivers earn points for every delivery to unlock perks, really valuable perks, such as tuition coverage, discounts, and earning opportunities. It’s like the rewards and loyalty program of Anytime Fitness. Drivers need Uber Eats Pro to get by in their daily lives.
Green is the base tier, while Gold is the very first tier to unlock extra perks, and Platinum and Diamond are the highest tiers.
Now, Uber Eats Pro is getting reimagined and upgraded, starting in California.
Uber Eats chatted with Ridesharing Forum, “We hear you: when it’s slow, it can feel like you’re just waiting around instead of earning. That’s why, starting May 18 we’ve started rolling out our reimagined Uber Eats Pro¹ in select cities across California. Get ready for more earning opportunities and greater flexibility as you move up tiers, with our updated rewards program.”
Updated requirements
Here’s a look at the official updated requirements:
- Green tier: No requirements.
- Gold tier: Acceptance rate of 30 percent or higher, on-time rate of 80 percent or higher, cancellation rate of eight percent or lower, satisfaction rating of 90 percent or higher, and 15 points.
- Platinum tier: Acceptance rate of 50 percent or higher, on-time rate of 90 percent or higher, cancellation rate of five percent or lower, satisfaction rating of 92 percent or higher, and 50 points.
- Diamond tier: Acceptance rate of 50 percent or higher, on-time rate of 90 percent or higher, cancellation rate of five percent or lower, satisfaction rating of 92 percent or higher, and the points are what make the difference here: 400 to 600 points, depending on the city.
Tools to help you improve the experience
Uber Eats is also relaying tools to help you further improve the experience. First, plan ahead to minimize downtime. Couriers in the Green and Gold tiers can reserve times a week in advance and get guaranteed access to appear online. On the other hand, delivery riders in the Platinum and Diamond tier can go online the way they like. No need to use Planner.
Second, there’s a brand-new heatmap in this reimagined Uber Eats Pro to showcase and lead you to busy zones in your city where you can go online without a reservation. These zone are color-coded.
Lastly, there’s the Uber Eats Pro Hub redesigned to more ease of use, helping you track your progress, explore rewards, and see how close you are to reaching your next tier.
Have fun with rewards designed to improve your day-to-day experiences
Moreover, there are also rewards for hitting that road and earning the delight, such as Preferred Deliveries, Advance Booking, Priority Access, Unlimited Access, and Premium Support, among many other perks.
More rewards await, such as a year of membership at Costco, discounts at gas stations, and even a scholarship at Arizona State University! California, but Arizona? Well, does that even matter? Hear more food delivery stories by signing up for your account on Ridesharing Forum!
