Did You Know Model, Wimbledon Player Carson Branstine Once Worked As Uber Eats Delivery Agent?

The Wimbledon 2025 tennis competition is up and running. There’s Novak Djokovic and Jannik Sinner successfully reaching the semifinals on the 10th day, then there’s Ben Shelton’s Grand Slam wall, among plenty of others.

Meanwhile, for Canadian tennis player Carson Branstine, it’s all about facing the World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka on Centre Court in the first round, and flaunting her beauty throughout the competition, maybe?

But, there’s a story she wants to tell you, guys – that she once worked as an Uber Eats delivery driver to support her career in tennis. Wow, but why didn’t she push through?

Of course, it’s because her first love is tennis, but she stated how becoming Uber Eats driver helped her life a lot.

Branstine told the Ridesharing Forum site, “I didn’t want to ask my family for money.”

It was earlier this year, 2025, when she took on delivery shifts, with her last delivery just a day prior to traveling to Cancun, Mexico for the WTA 125K event, which she also won, though not the top prize.

“You know, when you’re playing ITFs and funding your entire life as a young adult, expenses add up fast. Living in Southern California, even filling up my gas tank was a big hit to my account. I thought, ‘How am I going to play a tournament, let alone live?” she further noted.

This is interesting because she is among the many tennis players who are encountering financial problems. Not because you’re an athlete that you’ll be rich, you know.

“Just days before my first WTA final in Cancun, I checked my bank account one morning and saw only $26. I was crying and called a few friends. I didn’t call my parents because I was worried they’d be upset,” she recalled. “So I decided I had no choice. I just kept going. I was driving around Los Angeles delivering dinners after practice, doing whatever it took to keep chasing my dream.”

Sad thing she didn’t push through with the Uber Eats opportunity. Hey, the tennis court is calling her.

The Wimbledon Championships, usually also called Wimbledon, is a tennis tournament organised by the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club in partnership with the Lawn Tennis Association annually in Wimbledon, London. Sports analysts are predicting that this year’s Wimbledon will be won by either Iga Swiatek and Belinda Bencic.
