Cher Gets Burned For Being A Witch In New, Hilarious Uber Eats Advert

Uber Eats’ advertising and marketing teams are recently on a roll. The food delivery platform has released yet another video ad. No, not a Super Bowl ad, but a regular ad, yet remarkable as it features singer and actress Cher.

Cher… getting burned for being a witch. Here’s the scoop.

Recently, Uber Eats released a brand-new ad to promote its services, of course. The ad started with Cher entering the frame, which showcases what appears to be a disorganized room filled with her stuff – clothes, wardrobe, jewelry, etc. She’s singing and humming one of her songs, “If I Could Turn Back Time.”

Wearing a rockstar outfit and looking at herself in the mirror, she suddenly thought of pulling out her phone to access the Uber Eats app. Perhaps to introduce uniqueness, Cher starts typing “Time Machine,” asking for this item to be delivered. It is also interesting to note that her recent search on the app is “anti-ageing cream.” Oh, detail.

So, she waited, until she was brought her time machine at her doorstep. She immediately started using it, not even taking it inside her home, asking the machinet to bring her back to the 1980s decade, probably in reference to her “heyday.”

Instead, the machine took her to an even faraway time. She was welcomed by these people wearing dirty outfits, who told her she was in the late 1600s. That was, like, around the Renaissance.

Sitting on a cannon, seeing what the world looks like, the “Taxi Taxi” singer said, “This isn’t the 80s.”

One of the people of that time accused her of being a witch, for some weird reason.

Until she found herself being burned, just like the punishment then for witches.

It’s quite an odd ad. It ended with these words on the screen: “Time machine. No. Thyme. Yes,” with her in the present-day again, cooking her meal.

The netizens on YouTube are loving the ad!

“Omg, she’s the best! Love Cher (emoji),” wrote @danielasenties4943.

Others also gave their praises, saying “great,” “charming,” and honestly, “hilarious.”

Grammy award-winning Cher is known for her songs like “Santa Baby,” “DJ Play a Christmas Song,” “Train of Thought,” “Strong Enough,” “Run Rudolph Run,” “Believe,” and “Angels in the Snow,” among others.

She also appeared in various movies with the most famous being the film with Christina Aguilera, “Burlesque.”

“I just can’t find the words to express how beloved an entertainer Cher is to me. But I am but one of billions who have enjoyed her work. An immense talent + always so self-deprecatingly funny! She is truly a legend and an icon! Beautiful, intelligent, witty, and always so comedic!” commented @JR-dr2up.
