Another Australian burger chain will become part of the Uber Eats platform.
Uber Eats x Hungry Jack’s
Uber Eats has started a multi-year partnership together with Hungry Jack’s, whose logo is reminiscent of Burger King’s, so it is bound to empower this burger restaurant’s own delivery channels. Well, if a restaurant today is still handling its own deliveries instead of partnering with a delivery app, it’s probably behind.
But, Hungry Jack’s is not anymore behind. Since today, Uber Eats is its delivery partner exclusively in Australia.
That means no mooore I lo – no, not the song – no more hotlines for Hungry Jack’s since Uber Eats will completely handle the deliveries.
Chris Green, the chief executive officer of Hungry Jack’s, told Ridesharing Forum, “Expanding our partnership with Uber Eats allows us to reach customers with the convenience, value, and quality they expect from our strong Australian brand.”
This news comes after following other QSR or quick-service restaurant brands like Schnitz and Guzman y Gomez exclusively partnering with Uber Eats. Schnitz offers handcrafted schnitzels, wraps, and burgers, while Guzman y Gomez offers Mexican cuisine.
Also, Australia’s delivery market is reportedly undergoing massive change following the exit of Menulog from the market. The platform is already closed in Australia.
What is a multi-year deal?
In business, a multi-year partnership pertains to a formal and long-term agreement between two or more organizations to collaborate, share resources, or pursue shared goals over an extended period, not only a year, but rather multi-year.
One of the benefits of these partnerships is strategic stability, guaranteeing that both parties possess a secure relationship, allowing for a long-term strategic planning and major capital investments.
Businesses also get into these deals for resource and cost-efficiency, which is great to unlock bulk pricing, shared marketing costs, or operational synergies that won’t get possible with short-term contracts.
Lastly, it’s for brand authority, which strengthens the positioning of the market through creating a unified front, such as a multi-year sponsorship.
For instance, Coca-Cola has a multi-year partnership with the FIFA World Cup, and there’s no other way than a multi-year partnership, since the sporting show doesn’t happen until every four years.
And otherwise, State Farm has multi-year dealings with certain sports personalities.
Hungry Jack’s is kinda Australia’s version of Burger King. Yes, there are also Whoppers here. Their menu includes Rib Deluxe, Mega Rib, Bistro Whopper, Double Bistro Whopper, Bistro Jack’S Fried Chicken, Bistro Grilled Chicken, some Skittles drinks, and Mexican wraps. Yum, yum, yum!
Uber Eats is a food delivery app by Uber that lets users order meals, groceries, and essentials through a mobile app or website. Consumers browse nearby restaurants, place orders, and pay digitally. Restaurants prepare the food, while delivery drivers pick it up and deliver it to the customer’s location in real time.
