The DoorDash family is growing! And today, the food delivery app announced fresh delivery partnerships together with groceries and regional retailers. Whoa!
Charles Shoener, the head of North America grocery partnerships at DoorDash, told Ridesharing Forum, “We hear from our consumers all the time that they are always looking for more selection on DoorDash.”
Everything starts with FreshDirect
Everything starts with eCommerce specialist FreshDirect. FreshDirect currently owns a well-established in-house delivery network based upon its New York City warehouses. It dispatches trucks to neighborhoods across the city, wherein individual delivery personnel pick orders up and bring them to individual homes and businesses.
In addition to the Big Apple, FreshDirect also delivers to select sub-urban neighborhoods in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania, as well as to beach towns in the Hamptons – on New York’s Long Island – and the Jersey Shore, but during the summer months only.
DoorDash representatives confirm that once orders are placed, FreshDirect will be ready to prepare these at its facilities in Manhattan or Brooklyn, while a DoorDash delivery person would be delegated to pick those up from that facility and fulfill the delivery to the customer.
The Nguyens
These brand-new partnerships will also have DoorDash collaborating with Sylvia Nguyen, a recipe creator headquartered in Toronto, Canada, creating and sharing Vietnamese recipes via her Nguyen Food Stall platform.
She’s making it extra special for DoorDash, as exclusively for this collaboration, she curated three delicious recipes – Chicken Pho, Lemongrass Chicken Fresh Rolls, and Lazy Girl Bánh Cuốn – that consumers can click on to add the ingredients over to their baskets.
Each can be made in within an hour or less, and this has been developed to help household stretch their food dollars, representatives from DoorDash stated.
In addition to these collaborations and tie-ups, the newest partnerships in the USA are to include over 200 stores that Brookshire Grocery in Texas operates, and other neighboring states, 140 Harps Food Stores locations in the Southeast and Midwest and 12 Market of Choice supermarkets in Oregon.
Sounding really cool! DoorDash is the international number one food delivery app, an online food ordering and delivery platform that connects customers with local restaurants, grocery stores, and retail shops via its app and website. It now identifies itself as “food, grocery, and retail” on its website.
Simply launch the app, order the food you love, track your order, wait for them to arrive at your doorstep, and process the payment. No need to stress yourself out traveling or commuting to your favorite restaurants! For more food delivery news, keep it locked right here on Ridesharing Forum. Oh, toodles!
