DoorDash is a food delivery app, right? A hundred percent correct, but DoorDash has also recently tapped on style, and entered the fashion scene.
The food delivery platform announced yesterday that it is adding fresh apparel brands to its catalog, and these brands are Urban Outfitters, Dolce Vita, Rally House, and Steve Madden. Basically those are the brands that are you familiar with, or maybe you own items from.
“With over half a million products eligible for delivery in under an hour, DoorDash has grown into a destination for on-demand retail, making it easier for consumers nationwide to get what they need from their favorite local stores, quickly and conveniently. Today, we’re excited to expand the Apparel category on the DoorDash Marketplace with new partners, including Urban Outfitters, Dolce Vita, Rally House, and Steve Madden, all expected to launch this spring. The addition of these brands meaningfully expands DoorDash’s apparel selection, giving consumers more on-demand access to the brands they know and love,” DoorDash chatted with Ridesharing Forum.
To order from these fashion houses, simply keep checking the DoorDash official app this spring.
Here’s a brief rundown of these fashion brands:
- Urban Outfitters: Based in Pennsylvania, Urban Outfitters is a multinational lifestyle brand founded in the 1970s, and currently targets young adults with its curated mix of trendy apparel, accessories, footwear, and even home goods, vinyl and beauty products. How about that?
- Dolce Vita: Ah, the excellent Dolce Vita. This New York City-started fashion brand is pretty young, established in 2001, and currently offers trendy and contemporary footwear and accessories. Now owned by the Steve Madden brand, it is known for its chic it-girl designs, offering shoes, such as sandals, boots, and so much more.
- Steve Madden: Also headquartered in New York, particularly in Queens, this is a prominent American fashion brand that’s publicly traded, founded in the 1990s. It is known for designing and marketing trendy footwear, bags, and accessories. Its overall design is inspired by rock and roll, and New York City street style, and maybe Seoul and Shanghai street styles, too.
- Rally House: Lastly, you’ve got Rally House. Reign with Rally House. This, meanwhile, is a specialty sports apparel and merchandise retailer in the USA, offering a wide array of officially licensed NFL, MLB, NBA, NHL, MLS, and NCAA gear.
“People don’t always plan ahead when they’re shopping for apparel. Sometimes it’s fan gear for game day, sometimes it’s a last-minute shoe change, or sometimes it’s just something they need that same day or hour. Expanding apparel on DoorDash allows us to better serve those occasions while also helping retailers connect with new customers,” stated Shanna Prevé, the chief revenue officer of the DoorDash company.
It’s odd that Ridesharing Forum is presenting fashion brands for DoorDash today, instead of food brands, but that’s the DoorDash advantage! For more food delivery and ridesharing news, share this around online with your friends and family! Then, sign up for your account right now!
