Welcome Back, Kroger! Retailer Launches Fast Delivery Across Postmates, Uber Eats Nationwide

United States-based retailer Kroger has been quite a mainstay and energetic in the world of deliveries and ridesharing, such as its Thanksgiving partnership with DoorDash recently.

But this time, Kroger is renewing those ties by launching faster and more convenient deliveries multi-platform, across not only Postmates, but also Uber Eats.

Almost 2,700 Kroger stores and Kroger-owned stores will be made available on the official Uber Eats and Postmates apps.

“Customers’ needs evolve constantly, and at Kroger, we’re committed to meeting them with solutions that fit every moment with the understanding that what is convenient changes day-to-day,” stated Jody Kalmbach, Kroger Digital Experience and eCommerce Group Deputy. “Collaborating with Uber enables us to deliver even more convenience and flexibility, helping more families access the food they love with ease and reliability.”

Under this partnership, customers across the USA could start shopping their local Kroger brand for fresh groceries, including Kroger’s very own Our Brands items, household essentials, and more, then bring them on-demand and same-day delivery via Uber’s apps.

These are in addition to Kroger’s current floral and sushi stores on Uber Eats. That means customers may also browse full-store assortments from brands, such as Ralphs, Fred Meyer, King Soopers, Smith’s, Fry’s, Harris Teeter, Mariano’s, and so many more Kroger banners. Then, they may also schedule deliveries at a time that works best for them.

“Making Kroger’s banners available across Uber’s apps gives shoppers a simple, reliable way to get their weekly groceries or last-minute items whenever they need them,” Hashim Amin, Uber’s North American Head of Grocery and Retail, told Ridesharing Forum. “We’re excited to begin working on our shared vision for convenience and to give households even more flexibility in the months ahead.”

Kroger is a family of companies serving over 11 million customers daily via their eCommerce shopping experience and retail food stores under various banner names. Meanwhile, Uber Eats and Postmates are two of the world’s most popular food delivery platforms.
