Netizen and motorist Vaibhav Gupta is wearing his journalist’s cap as he spotted this rider learning coding while on the road.
Gupta posted his admiration on X, formerly Twitter, attaching a photograph taken behind a traffic signal, showing the rider seated on his motorcycle with a phone mounted on the handlebar, its screen lit up against the night.
Instead of tinkering on his phone during stops to look at Facebook, or watch videos, he instead learns coding.
Gupta stated, Yesterday my @rapidobikeapp rider was listening to a Node.js tutorial. Upon asking, he told me he’s already a developer and is preparing for a switch. Crazy grind & a @peakbengaluru moment for me.”
His post has already earned over 130,000 views, as of press time.

Gupta then asked the rider who told him he was already working as a developer, and was already preparing for a job switch. So, after all, his coding learning is in preparation for his new career.
To which, the netizens quipped, mocking the state of Bengaluru’s economy. One of them pointed out, “This cringe is why I hate Bangalore. This pretentious grind and hustle cringe and moreover identifying with that culture more than actually being it.”
There was also this user who said they felt bad that the country isn’t making good use of such talent, expressing concern about this underutilized skill.
