UK Deliveroo trolls UberEats after doughnuts delivery failure

After UberEats site crashed due to demand saturation, UK based Deliveroo went on the attack. They are handing out free doughnuts with every delivery made through their app. UberEats tried to raise immediate demand by promising to deliver 36,000 doughnuts but their site crashed, and Deliveroo's rival site responded by offering the same deal, thousands of doughnuts will be handed out for free at select locations in London starting 6pm today. The locations include Cannon Street, Liverpool Street, and Kings Cross Station. Deliveroo' site did not crash with the strain. The doughnuts will be supplied from a few sources including Crosstown Doughnuts and Doughnut Time.

Many UberEats customers hoped to get a Krispy Kreme doughnut but couldn't get onto the crashed site, as one funny consumer stated, 'Krispy Kreme sold us a dream.' This set back puts UberEats in a precarious position, especially in lieu of the recent London Transport Board's ruling against Uber.
