There’s this saying that goes, “There’s nowhere to go, but up,” so even if after-hours trading had Uber closing up at 0.13 percent, trading $69, it actually closed this week 0.28 percent down, trading at exactly $68.59.
But, though it isn’t totally a happy moment for Uber’s stocks this week, they are making the news. Here’s the report.
Little changed
The best things happen in the after-hours, and it goes true for Uber. Its shares closed little changed, holding near $68.59 and closing after-hours at $68.68 as investors weighed a mixed Q3 report versus a broad tech rebound.
Experts also trimmed the price targets following misses on mobility growth on driver-supply constraints in Brazil, India, and Canada, plus the high fuel costs. Banking institutions and financial institutions also did their work. Also, during Halloween, AI agents only drove around four rides that week. Makes sense.
Reason Uber stocks are making the news
Nevertheless, Uber still made the news this week when it comes to stocks and shares. Mid-week, or two days ago, Uber’s stocks jumped as Q3 earnings unveil profit cooling.
Uber came into the scene with its third-quarter 2026 report with its stocks treading water, roughly flat over the previous month, and slightly weaker over the past quarter, but the figures don’t lie.
This week, there was a moment its share price jumped 4.9 percent to close at $69.89, and that’s because the app is growing despite the cooling of profitability. Added to this, the quarterly revenue reaching around $15.
"The main thing that has to go right is that Uber successfully executes its capital plan in autonomous vehicles and the Delivery Hero integration while keeping margins supported by AI-led efficiency gains and disciplined cost control,” financial experts pointed out.
