Uber Launches More Features For Senior Passengers!

A lot of adages on aging, such as, “Life begins at 40,” and “Age doesn’t matter,” but there’s no reason to sour-grape, folks, since old age is abundant with benefits, benefits, and benefits! Such as with Uber, of course. Take a look!

Recently, Uber has further enhanced the perks that senior citizen passengers could get on top of the other perks in the past.

“Staying independent means having the freedom to get where you need to go, in the way that works for you. And as we age, that can mean different things to different people,” Uber told Ridesharingforum.com.

You know of the Uber for Seniors, or senior accounts, and this time, Uberi is focusing on offering more independence when these senior citizens ride. It is now ever-easier for these people to create their accounts as the process in the app is intentionally made easier for them. Way to go, Uber!

As for the features of these accounts, they are now more customizable.

“Whether you need a little extra help finding the car or simply larger text on the phone, senior accounts can be customized based on individual needs,” Uber added.

First, there’s the Simple Mode, an easier-to-navigate app experience with bigger text and clearer icons to help make requesting Uber rides smoother. RSF doesn’t want to overthink, and moms, too!

Then, pick-up preferences, where seniors are the commands to make their own rides ultra-comfortable.

Then, there’s optional self-identification wherein “seniors can choose to let drivers know they’re an older adult, and once enabled, this information will appear in the driver app as they approach the pick-up spot.”

Let’s get this: these seniors worked their very hard to get to where they are now, sharing the good things with their offspring, and the kids of their offspring, so why shouldn’t they deserve the best? Whether it’s going to a mall sale, or watching a theater play, the elderly deserve convenience in all forms.

And here, Uber rose to the challenge. They started piloting the ever-complex logistics of ensuring that when seniors book a trip, and when these requests reach the systems of the drivers, the car that gets to where the senior is is that which is easy for these people to move around, not the other way around.

So, there you have it, how Uber is improving its features for senior passengers. Let’s help these parents get by day-by-day. For more ridesharing news, tune in to RSF, your newsroom for ridesharing, coupons, food deliveries, business, lifestyle, and so much more! Okay, ‘til then!
