Uber-land USA May Soon Welcome Green GSM Cars From Vietnam

Is the United States set for these Green GSM cars from Vietnam? A report on Yahoo! Finance is confirming that Green SM has plans to enter the American market very soon.

The Vietnamese ridesharing company, which does business as Green and Smart Mobility, might enter the American and European economies by the end of this year, 2026, potentially competing with Uber and Lyft, two of the leading ridesharing apps in the North American country.

With cars supplied by VinFast, the biggest automaker in Vietnam, GSM is owned by its CEO, Phạm Nhật Vượng.

Should this expansion push through, it would be historic as it is their first foray into Western markets, bringing Vietnamese mobility services competing with formidable American ridesharing apps.

Green GSM was founded by the chairman of the famous Vingroup, Phạm Nhật Vượng. Since then, Green SM has been hailed as the world’s first green transportation rental and multi-platform taxi company. It started its operations in Hanoi in April 2023. It operates in various Southeast Asian destinations, or countries.

Then, is this going to be feasible? Don’t go crying now. It can sound out of choreography, or tune, since Vietnam has historic ties with Communism, something that USA fought decades ago.

But times have changed, of course. Vietnam and the United States now maintain a strong Comprehensive Strategic Partnership focused on expanding bilateral trade, defense cooperation, and technology investments, while actively navigating tariff negotiations and economic.
