Uber’s momentum to dominate the Middle Eastern market is building. This time, it has partnered with Emirates, one of the region’s star airlines, to enhance your travel experience.
This bold move that Uber has made with the Dubai-based airline will redefine how passengers move between destinations. Under this partnership, backed by a memorandum of agreement, more seamless, rewarding, and technologically integrated journeys await you as you fly around the world.
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Deputy President and Chief Commercial Officer, stated, “We’re excited to work with Uber to innovate new ways to connect people and enhance convenience. This partnership marks a new chapter in how travel should feel – effortless and rewarding.”
With this partnership, Uber ride vouchers will be integrated into Emirates’ booking system. This way, customers can arrange ground transportation when booking their flight.
Furthermore, some Emirates flyers will also be able to enjoy complimentary Uber rides to and from the airport, which is the true essence of a door-to-destination travel experience coming to life.
Not only those, but Emirates’ loyalty program members will also enjoy benefits. Emirates Skywards members in the United Arab Emirates and select key markets will soon be able to earn miles for Uber rides and redeem them for ride credits or vouchers within the Uber app.
There will also be exclusive offers, bonus earning opportunities, and targeted promotions.
Moreover, the partnership will also potentially explore last-mile delivery solutions, integrating Uber’s advanced delivery logistics into Emirates Courier Express. This could drastically improve the speed and reach of package deliveries, especially in urban markets where Uber is well-anchored.
With these initiatives, pain points in the travel journey are removed, taking convenience to a whole new level.
Anabel Diaz Calderon, Vice President and Head of EMEA Mobility at Uber, stated: “We’re thrilled to partner with Emirates, a global leader in aviation, to shape the future of travel. With tailored Uber airport rides offering seamless door-to-destination journeys and loyalty benefits for Uber and Emirates customers, this collaboration will redefine the travel experience for millions of passengers.”
Kazim shared how Emirates is “excited to join forces with Uber” toward delivering a seamless travel experience.
“In the months ahead, we’ll closely work together to leverage our combined capabilities in travel and technology to expand planning options, create more connected end-to-end journeys across our network, and introduce exciting new benefits for our Skywards members. We look forward to a successful partnership and the valuable opportunities it will create for our customers,” he noted.
Based in Dubai, Emirates is the world’s largest international airline. It flies to numerous destinations across the globe’s six continents. It is renowned for its luxurious amenities, gourmet cuisine, and award-winning in-flight entertainment.
