You will lose yourself in this news. Ridesharing media have called it official, even with previews of the images that would be shown in the big American football game next year, but Grubhub has just laid down their framework for its participation in the sporting event.
As of this time of research, there was just minimal news on this, but considering the sudden turn of events, just as problems around the Internet have emerged, a wave of reports came out, saying that it’s official. But it’s not official until it’s official.
Executives from Grubhub’s brand division stated on this plan, “Twenty years ago, we connected diners to their favorite local eats, and now we’re entering a new era. Our first-ever national Big Game spot is the most definitive signal of our renewed investment in the Grubhub brand and a massive brand refocus for the category we helped build.”
They also reiterated that this Super Bowl event is where brands would make their statements, and that they couldn’t wait to remind the country “why they are the authority in food deliveries.”
Their peers, Uber Eats and DoorDash, are currently partnered with the Super Bowl event. So, this might seem overstepping with regards to the part of Grubhub, especially with the confusion over the news reports. Are there issues with this?
Should this ad come into fruition, it would be Grubhub’s first-ever major investment in its branding, which has likewise attempted to outsmart ridesharing media’s decisions.
Even more shocking, NBC has reportedly been tapped to release the ad, but it’s not official, until it’s official. The rumored ad will be aired this February on the network. Could a third food delivery affiliate happen? It’s doubtful, in fact, highly doubtful.
“The Big Game is where brands make their biggest statements,” Grubhub re-emphasized. “We [couldn’t wait] to remind America why we are the authority in food delivery.”
Where’s Grubhub on the list of the top food delivery apps in the world? Not on the number one, as this is still owned by Uber Eats. However, Grubhub is also where you could order the food you crave, whether it’s local or international cuisine.
