This Time, DoorDash Goes Easter-Nerdy, Unveils How USA Parties That Day

It’s Lenten, then Easter Sunday, happening this April 5th, and for DoorDash, how America celebrates Easter is simply unique. The world’s number one food delivery app has delved deeper into how the country feasts on Easter Sunday. The findings are smart and beautiful.

The highlights are that the favorite egg-hunt essential is the Reese’s Pieces, a festive plastic carrot filled with peanut butter candy. However, Yellow Peeps still has the crown, but blue, hey, is trailing close behind as the season’s breakout pastel shade. And, moms, and dads, too, prefer the full do-it-yourself basket shopping mode, driving spikes in storage baskets, chalk, food color, arts and crafts, and so much more. Read on for the scoop.

“From crowning the top Easter candy nationwide to spotlighting state favorites and mapping the most-loved Peeps colors and flavors, these DoorDash trends from 2025 offer a snapshot of how America snacks when spring officially springs,” DoorDash told Ridesharing Forum.

Easter’s Top 10 sweets

DoorDash began things out with Easter’s Top 10 sweets, and they are, in proper order, from the leading spot: Reese’s Pieces Easter Candy Gift Bag, Palmer Double Crisp Lil’ Crispy Bunny, M&Ms Easter Bunny Cane, Lindt Gold Bunny, Hershey’s Hershey-Ets Easter Candy, Oreo Chocolate Sandwich Cookies Easter Egg, Reese’s Peanut Butter Bunny, Russell Stover Solid Bunny, Reese’s Peanut Butter Creme Egg, and M&Ms Pastel Easter Candy.

Aside from the fact that Reese’s reigned the king or queen, those candies are not fictitious, by the way. They are real.

“Halloween might be the ultimate candy holiday, but Easter is its pastel-fueled cousin, serving up chocolate in every form, from foil-wrapped bunnies to egg-shaped favorites and shareable handfuls made for snacking,” DoorDash added. “With Reese Pieces leading, it’s clear that America loves Easter candy that’s basket-ready, egg-hunt friendly, and easy to share (or snack). And when it comes to holiday cravings, chocolate and peanut butter remain undefeated: the same combo that topped Halloween is still hopping into carts for spring!”

Favorite Easter candies state by state

DoorDash also presented data on the favorite Easter candies by state. In 35 states – including in California, New York, Florida, and Texas – the winner is Reese’s Peanut Butter Bunnies.

If those peanut butter bunnies hopped to the Easter revelers’ tummies, it’s the Reese’s Pieces Peanut Butter Easter Candy Gift Bag that’s the most preferred in seven states, including Alaska, Wisconsin, and Vermont.

In Colorado, Maine, Washington, and Wyoming, Kinder Joy Eggs earned the spot. In Virginia, Delaware, and Hawaii, it’s the Haribo Sour Easter Grass that tastes as tangy as ever.

Lone state New Mexico crowned the Lindt Dark Chocolate Gold Bunny. Fair enough.

Favorite activities in the Easter weekend

Lastly, America’s favorite activities during the Easter Sunday weekend are curating DIY Easter baskets, selling storage baskets, chalk doodling, food coloring, and arts and crafts making.

People also like ordering food online, such as Croque Monsieur, Eggs Benedict, and Deviled Eggs, along with Latkes and Lox, whatever those things are.

They also like cooking roasts, visiting convenience stores, and drinking wines. Spring hosting and backyard barbecue kick-offs are also a thing.
