Heroine for a day
The single mother of three, Ciara, told Ridesharing Forum how she has been working for and delivering with Amazon Flex for around eight months now when she realized she’d be a hero for a day.
While delivering packages to Amazon customers recently, she noticed smoke rising from the attic of one of the houses she visited.
She never thought twice, and never became selfish, like, “Hey, will I get killed here?” Instead, she pulled over, even if the house isn’t the destination for her deliveries, and sprang into action.
“I called 911 and then went to bang on the door because I saw a car in the driveway,” Ciara said. “No one was home, so I waited for the fire department to arrive and explained what happened. Then I finished my delivery block on time.”
This heroic act brought fame and publicity to Ciara, who has since been featured on local news. Even her eight-year-old son was impressed and called her a cool mom when the son heard about the story.
Ciara praises Amazon Flex for providing her with the flexibility she needs to achieve a perfect balance between work and life.
“Amazon Flex is very accommodating when it comes to your schedule,” Ciara told the Ridesharing Forum website. "You have early-morning blocks, late-night blocks, and everything in-between. I have to find that happy medium where I can be there if my kids get sick or need to be picked up, and Amazon Flex provides that.”
Of course, Amazon Flex thanked her for what she did, and more.
“Thank you to Ciara, for delivering smiles to Amazon customers, and for going above and beyond for her local community,” Amazon stated.
What kind of devices can you use for Amazon Flex?
As you may well know, Amazon Flex is the delivery arm of Amazon, the globe’s number one eCommerce platform. It is designed for people who are interested in helping Amazon deliver its packages for customers, but don’t want to commit to a full-time job, or don’t want to be restricted to a certain number of hours per day. It’s like working for Uber or DoorDash, except that you deliver Amazon packages.
To get started, a separate Amazon Flex app must be in your possession. But you should know Amazon has its minimum requirements to make sure the services work perfectly.
The main requirement is that the system of your device must be incredible, with no glitches. Other requirements include at least 3GB of RAM, a 5-megapixel camera or better, an active SIM plan, GPS navigation support, and a 4,500mAh battery, in particular.
Some of the gadgets that are not compatible with Amazon Flex are: Cat S42, Crosscall Core-M5, Moto G Pure, Motorola Edge 50 Fusion, Realme 6 Pro, Realme Narzo 20, Redmi Note 8, Redmi Note 8T, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi 9, and Redmi Note 9.
