You’ll never know if or not they’d be your inspiration for your lifetime.
An Indian entrepreneur traveled to Fiji only the learn that there are far more better people around than him, but he didn’t build a grudge on this.
The Indian businessman, who goes by the Instagram handle @financewithnav, shared with Ridesharing Forum the story of this trip to Fiji where he learned that the Uber driver he hired there is, actually, a multimillionaire business owner.
And, if you don’t believe this story, he has figures to show. The Indian guy stated that the business of the Uber driver generates this yearly turnover of more than $175 million. A whopping amount of money!
Not only this, but the driver is actually already an 86-year-old guy! Well, quite expected for such an old, and experienced guy as he is.
The driver told him he had three daughters, all well-educated and successful, who, in turn, inspired their dad to keep doing what he wants.
“I send this money to educate girls in India. Every trip helps another one go to school,” the driver told the Indian entrepreneur.
Yes, the guy claims he sends 24 girls to education every year over the past decade.
As their trip on the road continued, the driver from Fiji revealed that his family owns multiple businesses across the Pacific country, including 13 jjewellery stores, six restaurants, a regional newspaper, four supermarkets, and a wholesale-retail perfume enterprise. Quite unbelievable, right? But, who knows? Everyone is free to dream.
It’s just right for the passenger to get curious, so he asked how he started it. The driver told him it was in 1929 when his family founded the business with just five pounds in their local currency.
The Fiji guy gave him a piece of advice, “Be positive, be happy, and be truthful. That’s all you need in life.”
You could watch the Instagram video here. If you haven’t yet caught the twist, let this team share it with you. Why is he driving for Uber?
Nevertheless, the Indian businessman couldn’t hide his awe.
“It stopped me in my tracks. A man who’s seen it all wealth, business, legacy still grounded in kindness and purpose. He reminded me: True success isn’t about how high you climb, It’s about how many people you lift along the way. Keep building. Keep giving. Stay humble,” the Indian entrepreneur stated.
This could make you even more curious. According to ridesharing media’s research, there are not too many Ubers in Fiji, which would tell you that this guy has no competition, generally speaking, which follows his claims.
However, several latest posts online and on social media state that ridesharing isn’t really very popular in Fiji, even during the years back. The floor is open for your insights.
