The driver, Naimah Elmore, was driving along Shelby County in Tennessee, working as usual, delivering packages as part of the Amazon Flex program on Sunday when she saw from her car’s windshield smoke filling the sky. She knew there were lives in there, so she immediately took action.
This Good Samaritan managed to save the lives of a family who lost everything in a house fire. But, if not for the Amazon Flex driver, they would have perished, too.
Elmore narrated the story to the media, saying she started driving at around 5:45 p.m. In within just 45 minutes, she found herself inside a burning home, carried away by the adrenaline rush as well, helping a woman and, take note, her elderly mother get out.
Reports said “she pulled up to the house, jumped out of the car, and left the door open.”
Good thing she knew what to do and was fast to think on her feet. With the emergency number on her phone, she found the strength the carry the senior down he stairs to safety. The heroic act did not end there. She even braved the smoke and possibly, the fire, to get back and get the wheelchair.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the North Shelby County Fire Department said, as of this time of writing. No, this wasn’t because of the wildfires spreading in the United States lately.
After her heroic act, she went on to continue with her driving and work, finishing the rest of her deliveries.
