Such a successful Super Bowl LX. You took part in Ridesharing Forum’s coverage of the biggest night in football, and this team wants to thank you for that. The Seattle Seahawks won!
The Super Bowl LX sporting event also proved to be historic, not only since it is the 60th anniversary show, but also one of those Super Bowl editions that witnessed several Asians following, viewing, and supporting. The Seahawks controlled the game from start to finish, defeating the Patriots 29-13 to win Super Bowl LX.
It was also a night of spectacle as the audiences saw ads from their favorite brands, and even got the chance to see Bad Bunny perform his best hits, despite being in Spanish.
Speaking of ads, one of the brands that presented in Super Bowl LX is Uber. However, how special the ad is just how it was attacked by the law.
Uber’s ad campaign for Sunday’s big game started like this: “… Lawyers make millions, while Californians are left broke… If you’ve been scammed, tell your story…” showing dramatic clips and quotes from major newspapers.
The campaign is part of the ballot initiative, called "Preventing Accident Victims from Self-Dealing Attorneys Act.” The measure would change attorney’s fees. It will also change state law to cap attorney payouts at 25 percent in car accident cases.
The concern of lawyers regarding this campaign and initiative? It’s essentially “making it harder for people to get legal representation they need to” take responsibility from Uber if they get assaulted or they get into an accident.
Meanwhile, Consumer Watch stated, “Medical costs and attorney fees all come out of 25 percent of the award, and you’re not gonna get an attorney for the case, and you’re probably not gonna get your medical bills…”
The ad also talks about Uber’s sexual assault accusations, sparking stories that say, “Watch the Super Bowl ad Uber and the NFL don’t want you to see.”
Emergency lawyers also say, “It doesn’t surprise us that they are frantically trying to avoid accountability and continue their predatory practices…”
In other words, it’s ridesharing companies versus state lawyers.
