In a sudden turn of events, even customers didn’t expect the world’s most popular transport-hailing app Uber to partner with McDonald’s in Australia, not listed as among where the restaurant chain makes it big, as what’s revealed on search engine platforms such as Google.

Just during the last quarter of 2024, Uber turned up the heat and took it up a notch by collaborating with the app’s subscription option, Uber One, and Eats, its food delivery and transport service that brings your cravings to your residences’ tables.

For a limited time during the initial phases of the tie-up, Uber One members could avail of the zero-dollar Delivery Fee benefit on orders from Mcdo Australia, plus several other perks.

What that said, entrepreneurs expressed their confidence in this partnership. This is among the rarest occasions McDonald’s has collabed with Uber, considering that the fast-food chain uses its resident motorcycle vehicles to bring food to the table.

McDonald’s customers and fans are sharing their sentiments on social media, particularly on X, where discussions are taking place about the up-and-coming system of food delivery.

“Socks and bucket hats at McDonald’s on Uber Eats in Australia [are] crazy,” @LilFlxvio posted on the platform only a few weeks ago.

Because of this partnership with Uber’s One and Eats, the world’s biggest fast-food chain has seen significant changes in finances and revenue. Renowned statistics provider website Statista stated the net sales of McDonald’s Australia ended at more than $831 million in 2023, continuing this rise up to the final quarter of last year, official McDonald’s financial reports showed.

The fast-food restaurant chain’s fans on Instagram are also fuming with happiness.

Not to doubt because the demand for food via the ridesharing system has increased over the last few years, though some are still unsatisfied with their services.

A frequent McDonald’s customer from Southeast Asia would choose to order via ridesharing platforms but wish the service could be better, citing delays in deliveries. She would continue to use such a system, however.
