Since when have regular Uber rides been uncomfortable? In fact, traveling in an Uber car has always been luxurious. There are no smelly units, or trashes around.
However, apparently, some passengers find the need to step up the game. They want luxury in a whole new level.
Which is why Uber has recently announced its premium service designed for the more affluent passengers, executives, and frequent travelers. This is no fake news.
Introducing, Uber Elite
Known as Uber Elite, this upcoming fresh service is bound to offer an upgraded experience with professional chauffeurs, or drivers, driving flashier cars, and offering complimentary in-car amenities.
Though the official day of the launch has not yet been revealed nor confirmed, Uber is saying that frequent users and passengers of Uber Black and its Uber for Business system will be invited for the trial of the service. As for the rest of the affluent passengers, register on the waitlist for them to try the Uber Elite.
Pilot testing is available in the areas of Los Angeles and San Francisco, with New York City coming in next.
Upgraded features
As for the features that passengers should expect, those looking to avail of this will be able to take advantage of the newest airport meet-and-greet option, which is convenient since riders can request to be met by the professional chauffeur at the baggage claim inside a terminal building, like meeting with a tourist guide. This takes away the long waiting time of getting a car from the airport to the hotel.
Furthermore, Uber Elite also lets riders submit special requests ahead of time – such as drinks and snacks – and even champagne if you’re riding on the day of your celebration, such as Chinese-owned shopping app Lazada’s birthday.
Other impressive features include round-the-clock support from the time and moment of the booking – Uber Elite rides may be booked from 90 days in advance to just an hour ahead of a trip – plus amenities like chargers, bottled water, mints, and hand towels.
Carrying things over
Moreover, several features of the regular Uber rides will reportedly be carried over to these Uber Elite rides.
Among them is the Women Preferences feature, wherein passengers can choose female drivers. This feature is currently available across 40 countries, including Australia, the USA, France, India, and Germany. Trials are currently taking place internationally.
Another feature that is being carried over is the In-App Simple Mode for older adults that makes it easier for seniors to operate the system for better convenience while in an Uber ride. For more ridesharing news, you are recommended to share this story around online. ‘Til then!
