Serve Robotics May Have Been Left By Uber, But It’s Now With Grubhub!

In life, the most important thing is to pick yourself back up after falling down.

Like Serve Robotics, source for sidewalk robots for deliveries!

Ridesharingforum.com was right there in the middle of the action when Uber left and divorced with Serve Robotics like a wife leaving her husband.

In its previous report, Uber has divested from its long-term partner and affiliate, Serve Robotics. Divesting from a company means pulling out its investments, or simply, ending partnerships.

The lead of Serve Robotics, Ali Kashani, spoke about this heartbreaking news, who stated, "Our extensive discussions with Uber since the emergence of this trend in the second quarter have clarified that we really have differing views about the operating model to scale our common autonomous fleet.”

However, Serve Robotics is quick to get back to its feet, now that it is officially with Grubhub. Kudos to that!

Earlier this week, Serve Robotics made its confirmation it is partnering with Grubhub to process orders on the food delivery platform using Serve Robotics’ sidewalk robots. This is Serve Robotics’ attempt to fill in that gap with a brand-new revenue way.

Ridesharing media reported that the Grubhub roll-out of delivery robots is about to start in Chicago, Los Angeles and Alexandria.

“For a company that only saw its biggest guidance number get cut in half, the timing could not matter more,” stated Maham Fatima, correspondent for Yahoo! Finance.

Now, Serve Robotics here is hitting two birds with one stone. Aside from re-gaining its losses from its partnership together with Uber, this pitch to Grubhub is part of its broader push to diversity beyond its relationship with Uber that once was anchoring its business.

As you may well know, Serve Robotics is also with DoorDash with San Jose, California, and Washington, District of Columbia, its seventh and eighth USA markets, respectively, spreading delivery volume across more partners rather than leaning on one. However, Serve Robotics CEO Ali Kashani told ridesharing media that the regaining could take time. Absolutely!

Now, for more behind-the-scenes, this follows Serve Robotics, actually calling it quits, too, that it is not renewing its delivery agreement with Uber Eats after its expiration. So, it’s not merely divesting and all.

Serve Robotics is an autonomous delivery company developing sidewalk robots that transport food, groceries, and other goods, aiming to make last-mile delivery more efficient and affordable. Grubhub is an online food delivery app connecting consumers with restaurants. They can browse menus, place orders, track deliveries, and access various dining options through its service.
