Sacked Pizza Hut Delivery Guy Goes TikTok-Viral For Accusing The Restaurant Of Choosing Uber Eats, DoorDash For Deliveries

It’s hard to accept the truth that Pizza Hut may be replacing its official resident delivery riders with platforms like DoorDash and Uber Eats to deliver customers’ orders. Well, this is not to say it is bad to use those apps, but somehow, those Pizza Hut delivery riders have become part of a person’s hungry moments, sometimes even taking videos and photos of them receiving their orders. Nothing beats having a guy in an official Pizza Hut delivery uniform to bring you your orders.

However, this former delivery guy for Pizza Hut has taken to TikTok to vent his anger over Pizza Hut’s sacking him since the restaurant has chosen to use today’s largest food delivery apps.

The guy, who goes by the name @neilblevins143, posted a viral video of his story.

“… I was notified that #PizzaHut will no longer need #drivers they are going to use #UberEats and #doordash only from now on. #christianfaith33 #fyp,” the caption on his TikTok post read.

On the text overlay on his clip, he wrote, “Pizza Hut just ended delivery drivers.”

He then told viewers how he used to deliver part-time for Pizza Hut and was shocked when the pizza chain notified him that “delivery drivers will no longer be a part of Pizza Hut” and that “they are going full-time with DoorDash and Uber Eats.”

Of course, those were only accusations, since if you try to call Pizza Hut’s hotline, an official Pizza Hut delivery guy on an official Pizza Hut motorcycle will still bring you your order.

Netizens are reacting.

Wait, even the official TikTok of Pizza Hut has commented on his post. Jeez.

“Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Mind sending us a DM on IG or X (Twitter) with your contact information and the address of the store?” Pizza Hut commented.

“They can make all the changes they want, but one thing will always remain the same, Jesus is king of kings. Trust in him, don’t fear or worry. Leave it in his hands,” a netizen named Roberto wrote in the comments section, whatever that meant.

TikTok netizen Miss_Sandrist also commented in support of Neil, “I hate that some establishments are forcing DD and UE, there is no way to know who is actually handling your food…”

TikTok added a sarcastic move that Pizza Hut did, offering him the choice of keeping his job in the kitchen or becoming a delivery driver. That sounds a bit safe and away from road pollution. Plus, Pizza Hut is giving him a raise if he agees. But, what if he isn’t knowledgeable in the kitchen? Didn’t the pizza chain think of that?

He continued, “This is not to instill any type of fear, but, they told me I had a week to drive. And then I can go into the kitchen and work. Which I would get a little bit of a raise. I’m just, letting you guys know if you work for Pizza Hut and you haven’t heard of this yet, it may be coming to you. And it could be coming to other food restaurant businesses as well. May God bless you.”

TikToker Lady commented as well, “I can’t stand places that use a service for delivery. nothing but problems! ridiculous! & they don’t gaf about your food they don’t work there!”

Others are going out on a limb to say they will never order from DoorDash again. It only goes to show people are choosing tasty Pizza Hut pizzas delivered on the dot instead of those from delivery apps.
