Researchers within the Transportation and Hydrogen Systems Group at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (located just outside Denver) are interested in assessing relevant barriers to adoption of electric vehicles faced by a variety of industries, including Transportation Network Companies (TNC) such as Uber or Lyft. TNC vehicles present unique challenges to electrification. We’d like to better understand the behaviors of EV drivers, namely metrics surrounding miles traveled, charging behavior, charging access, etc.
