Ohio State University’s Dining Division Partners Together With Grubhub To Deliver Health-Related Items

Then, there’s Ohio State University’s Dining Division partnering together with Grubhub to deliver health-related products. And more! Here’s the scoop.

Access to health-related items

Universities are recently tying-up with food delivery apps like Grubhub to deliver food to students and teachers, but the health-related aspect is not focused to that much. What if students and faculty need medicine?

The Ohio State Dining Services and the Wilce Student Health Center are tapping Grubhub Rovers to deliver health-related items to students.

They are launching this around fall break to deal with cold weather-related diseases.

Abby Hertzfeld, the senior director of the university’s Dining Services, stated health product deliveries should launch around this time, and it is perfect.

But, there will be limitations. For instance, the Wilce Student Health Center stated that only over-the-counter medications would be delivered by the time of the launch. These include cough, cold, and allergy medicines, vitamins, supplements, and medications for gastrointestinal issues, also offered at the health center.

“A lofty goal would be to get into prescription delivery,” a Wilce Student Health Center representative said.

How to order the items

Students can order via the existing Grubhub system, like how they order food, but the items will be brought to them via the rover delivery system.

Rovers will visit a delivery site and then come back to the Wilce Student Health Center. There will also be specific Grubhub rovers for the Wilce Student Health Center spot.

The idea for this robot medicine delivery came from students in the College of Pharmacy Partner for Promotion program. Partner for Promotion is an entrepreneurial project-based program. Lindsay Charley, a pharmacy student and intern, is delighted about this initiative.

Black market?

Which are you more willing to patronize? In-N-Out Burger on Grubhub, or In-N-Out Burger from… Facebook Marketplace?

Somehow, Facebook Marketplace has established itself as an eCommerce platform, but it is like a frustrated platform of this kind. For one, there are a lot of scams here.

In-N-Out Burger is a cult favorite, with its immaculate catalog of affordable menu, secret items, and made-to-order burgers.

Can you get it from Grubhub, and other food delivery apps? Well, not yet, and their reason? They serve fresh double-doubles, fries, and shakes. But, don’t other burger chains serve these, too?

Apparently, In-N-Out Burger is experiencing a double-whammy now that it cannot appear, too, legitimately on Facebook Marketplaces, but as a black market.

Investigators found numerous drivers across Southern California who were willing to bring In-N-Out to one’s doorstep, usually for an additional fee ranging from $20 to $50. But, not through Grubhub, but through Facebook Marketplace. Yikes!

In-N-Out Burger is a famous American fast-food chain founded in California in the 1940s. Known for its fresh ingredients, made-to-order burgers, hand-cut fries, and milkshakes, it maintains a simple menu. Its signature Double-Double burger and Animal Style options attract loyal customers. The company emphasizes quality, affordability, customer service, and traditional American dining.
