So yes, this November 3rd, the Lone Star State is going to hold its elections, and as early as now, Lyft would like to announce that, yes, there will be discounts for your rides to the polling precincts for the elections.
One of the world’s leading ridesharing apps is offering voters in North Texas, or in the Dallas-Fort Worth area a whopping 50 percent discount on qualifying ridesharing, biking, or scooter trips to polling locations across the region! That’s right!
“The goal is simple – to help ensure transportation isn’t what stands between someone and their ability to participate in the election,” Sabiha Nur, the senior director for Day One Agency, representing Lyft, was stating.
This special offer is part of Lyft’s non-partisan Lyft Up Voting Access program. Previously, Lyft also provided free and discounted rides during federal election cycles, including presidential and mid-term elections, including select run-off elections.
The code is VOTE26, to denote that this voting happens this year, 2026. Again, that’s VOTE26. The coupon code to redeem is VOTE26.
Redeem it by November 3rd from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. to receive 50 percent off rides up to $10 when heading to your polling precinct. In Dallas, Election Day polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., according to the Dallas County website.
“Through our nonprofit partners, we’re also providing targeted support to communities that can face greater transportation barriers, including older voters, people with disabilities, students, veterans, and lower-income communities,” Nur added.
Nur further noted that nearly four million riders have come to use Lyft to bring them to the polling precinct, or drop-off their ballot, or attend a voter registration, or related event.
For this election edition, Lyft has partnered with national non-profit and civic organizations, such as League of Women Voters, National Coalition for Homeless Veterans, Students Learn Students Vote Coalition, and many other organizations.
This elections in Texas is historic. You know what? The November 3 elections in Texas reportedly feature big races for gubernatorial and senatorial positions.
