New delivery route start screens
Amazon Flex has rolled out new delivery route start screens that drivers could see in the app at the start of each delivery block. Such updates are designed to provide you with helpful route details, which include information to help you in preparing and planning for your upcoming deliveries.
After loading your packages into your vehicle, be sure to check your phone to see a personalized greeting screen.
For instance, it goes like this, “Good morning, Benjamin! You’ll clear out 25% of your packages early in your block,” complete with animations and other visuals.
This provides useful routes and delivery details, which include information on delivery areas and more, helping when planning those deliveries.

Staying safe in hot weather
During the last days of August, the United States has recorded some of the hottest and highest temperatures in human history, despite the occasional bad weather for some odd reason. Then, Amazon Flex has shared tips on how you could keep safe in these hot weather conditions.
It’s all about staying aware of the summer heat, hydrating and using sun protection, and prioritizing your well-being all the time.
“Summer temperatures can rise quickly, which is why it is important to stay aware of any temperature variations. At Amazon, our team of meteorologists examine forecasts and real-time weather,” Amazon Flex revealed. “We will provide you with in-app notifications and alerts during extremely high temperatures, so you can stay informed and prepared. If weather conditions change significantly, we may suggest route adjustments, and you will receive updates directly in the app for route cancellations to help keep you safe.”
It is also important to stay hydrated just like when working out, and using sun protection at times just as when you go to the beach.
“Choose lightweight, breathable clothing to stay cool in hot temperatures, and remember sun protection such as hats, sunglasses, and sunscreen. Free water is available at all stations anytime of year. During warmer months, select stations will also have electrolyte packets and sunscreen available at no cost. Ask a station associate if you are unable to locate the supplies at your station,” Amazon Flex further noted.
Lastly, don’t put your well-being on the line. If you feel dizziness, nausea, or extreme fatigue, don’t push yourself to work. Instead, take a break. Don’t worry since with Amazon Flex, you have the flexibility to take unlimited breaks or make stops when you need.
