What is Meituan’s 2026 Black Pearl Restaurants Recommendations?

This guide is published by Meituan, China’s super-app handling food deliveries and ridesharing. Let’s see the app do the talking themselves on what this is about.

“The Black Pearl Restaurant Guide is a curated dining guide, double-certified by culinary experts and Meituan’s big data. It has rapidly become one of the most influential evaluation systems in China’s dining industry. Anonymous judges rigorously assess restaurants year-round. Guided by the Chinese palate, the guide aims to create a lasting Extraordinary Chinese Choice that endures for centuries,” Meituan stated. “Today, the Black Pearl is not only the go-to guide for food enthusiasts seeking high-quality dining experiences but also a long-term companion to the growth of China’s culinary industry.”

So, for this news, Ridesharing Forum picked three Asian cities to feature with the selected restaurants, since there’s literally a lot! They are: Singapore, Macao, and Hong Kong.

Singapore, Hong Kong

The Straits Times is so proud as they hoist the flags of these Singaporean restaurants, specifically Pangium in Singapore Botanic Gardens, Greek restaurant Estiatorio Milos in Marina Bay Sands, and Sushi Zen in Teck Lim Road. If youre’ booking a flight ticket to Singapore, you’ll understand why they landed on the list.

Pangium’s chef-owner, Malcolm Lee, chatted with Ridesharing Forum team, “It gives us encouragement to carry on for the next 10, 20, 30 years. It’s about sustaining, not just the flavors, but also the spirit of the cuisine, its emotions and feelings, for future generations. What we see is that the Chinese are interested in seeing how Chinese cuisine has evolved over time, as people moved to Singapore and mixed with the local community. They’re intrigued by how food takes on a different flavor altogether.”

Also on Meituan’s Black Pearl list are restaurants in Singapore like Cloudstreet in Amoy Street, Burnt Ends in Dempsey, Zen in Bukit Pasoh Road, and so much more.

For somebody who’s used to eating in hawker restaurants, you should try these!

Meanwhile, in Hong Kong, South China Morning Post reveals.

Many of the restaurants mentioned here are also Michelin-starred. These include French-Chinese restaurant Vea, modern fine-dining Chinese restaurant Wing, The Landmark Mandarin Oriental and Amber, modern Indian restaurant Leela, and fine-dining Korean restaurant Mosu.
