Lyft Opens Technology Hub In Toronto

Way to go, Toronto! Lyft is opening a technology hub in Toronto in Canada. Here’s the story!

Technology hub in Toronto

The brand-new technology hub is around 90,000 square feet, and will be located at First Canadian Place.

First Canadian Place considers itself as an exchange tower. It is a 72-storey commercial skyscraper and retail complex situated at 100 King Street West in the financial district of Toronto in Ontario in Canada.

The approximately 90,000 square-foot office will support engineering, product development, and AI-driven mobility innovation.

This is Lyft’s second-biggest facility in North America, following San Francisco. The office at First Canadian Place is bound to create more than 500 high-skilled work across Ontario, focusing on the fields of engineering, product development, marketing, and artificial intelligence initiatives.

This hub aims to also enhance the investment of the ridesharing app in next-generation mobility technologies.

Toronto was picked for its strong technology talent pool and innovation ecosystems, as this destination reportedly has more workforce in this field than any other location.
