Lyft In-Depth Reports: A Business Traveler’s Guide To Puerto Rico

What’s on the Ridesharingforum.com news desk tonight? Previously, RSF correspondents reported about Lyft starting its own business travel brand, Alcove. Not merely a travel brand, but a business travel brand, here’s the scoop.

What happened then

In a previous report here on Ridesharing Forum, Lyft has unveiled Alcove, its newest brand slated to serve business travelers.

While both are under traveling, business traveling or traveling for work is a different thing.

Nathalie Celestial, working as a bank professional, travels a lot as part of her work’s incentives, and with her family. Those trips she does with her family are purely for vacation, such as when she traveled to Hong Kong, a Special Administrative Region in China, with her husband and three-year-old son. That’s for pleasure.

Meanwhile, there’s Zildjian Yaneza, who works in the human resources department of health company Merck, who has been to Germany twice or thrice, delegated by her office to do business and do some work there. She tells RSF it’s very different, which is why during her first-time being sent to Europe, she made sure she allotted days to tour around the place personally.

Lyft’s Alcove will operate in thousands of cities across not just one continent, but six continents.

David Risher, the CEO of Lyft, spoke about this breakthrough, saying, “Lyft is moving up and out, creating customer-obsessed products up and down the value chain and in more places around the world. Alcove supercharges that strategy.”

Also, Alcove is bound to cater to managed corporate travel programs, bookers, and business travelers, including VIP and complex adventurers, big events, multi-car bookings, and security-sensitive transportations.

Best things to do in Puerto Rico for business travelers

At the very least, business travelers can only do side-trips around Puerto Rico, since they are requested to provide some work, so it’s not like a stress-free trip.

Of course, the Puerto Rico mainstays shouldn’t be missed. Start by exploring Old San Juan, where you can see colorful colonial architecture, historic fortresses, boutique shops, and charming cafés between business meetings.

Even if you’re doing a business trip, it is still a trip, so don’t forget to check out the beaches! Unwind after meetings with beautiful ocean views, beachfront hotels, upscale restaurants, and relaxing sunset walks along San Juan’s coastline. That’s Condado Beach.

Be sure to also stay in the loop for networking events at the Puerto Rico Convention Center, and experience the business crowd at Distrito T-Mobile where you can find restaurants, live entertainment, and more for business dinners.

End your tour discovering Puerto Rican cuisine with your friends at work! Visit La Placita de Santurce to experience authentic local dishes, lively restaurants, and cultural entertainment while connecting with your colleagues.
