Let’s Take A Fun Break: California Restaurant Worker Reveals What They Officially See When You Order The Same Food Everyday On DoorDash

Are you ordering the same food from DoorDash over and over again? Perhaps McDonald’s World Famous Fries? Or a pizza box from Pizza Hut? A server in a restaurant in Los Angeles would tell you to feel a little bit ashamed.

He recently revealed on social how restaurant workers could see this habit from their systems. Well, he only meant, perhaps, to vary your orders from DoorDash! Here’s the story.

The former restaurant staff, Daniel Rabinowitz took to TikTok to share a clip that has already garnered a whopping 1.4 million views. He stated in the post, “This is what happens when you order something on DoorDash every single day. The other day, I saw somebody on TikTok asking if people who work at restaurants can tell when you order from the same place, like 900 billion jillion times, and of course, the answer is yes.”

Gasps. In summary, for instance, when a customer orders chicken ravioli over and over again, the customer’s name would appear on the system, and the restaurant could very easily leave a note for that customer, and describe him as the restaurant’s favorite customer.

Some people who watched the video believe that the TikToker was going over the fence, saying he’s violating some sort of ethics, specifically health standards ethics in restaurants.

“Please say you’re joking,” they commented. “The other day Elizabeth W didn’t get fries with her salad like she always does, but I put the fries in there anyways… Uber Eats show how many times they’ve ordered before, and Nico B is on his 265th order at my work. He came in person once, and I recognized his order and [I got shocked] and told him it was like meeting a celebrity, which freaked him out, and he never came back IRL.”

Meanwhile, others felt a bit more conscious of they’re ordering that, despite these food delivery apps being apps, they are still run by humans. In this world, there’s no such thing yet as completely run by robots, maybe on another planet.

“I’m starting to feel self-conscious of craving the same thing from a place with barely any change,” they said. “For one, it’s [cheaper] than other places that give the same food but different quality, so I don’t feel like I’m being overcharged, it’s also very quick as it’s close to my house. Is it weird to think this way?”

Yet, for other netizens, there’s no reason to be self-conscious, saying that you should go ahead and order whatever you like, even if they’re the same throughout.

“We order from the same pizza place weekly,” they noted in the comments section. “I don’t feel like it’s weird at all.”

Another commenter added, “I eat out a lot because I’m always busy and too tired to cook. I have a ‘usual’ for every restaurant I go to, and sometimes I feel like the workers know it’s me when they hear my order. If it works for you, anyone else’s opinions don’t matter.”
