Chinese food delivery system Keeta recently opened its network to not merely fintechs, banks, and developers, but also to third-party anchor providers and infrastructure providers for a direct path to offer their services to reach more users Keeta-wide.
Qualified third-party providers can now have their anchor services listed and discoverable by default across Keeta Personal and the official Keeta developer platform. Keeta Personal is Keeta’s all-in-one financial app, combining traditional banking and cryptocurrency in a single, unified account. Before this, the access was available only to services operated by a subsidiary of Keeta, not third-party providers.
How it works
Through this, anchors can facilitate things from bank deposits and withdrawals, as well as foreign exchange and stablecoin bridges. They may also administer tokenized real-world assets, lending, and other financial services.
Now that the ecosystem is opened to third-party anchor providers, Keeta allows institutions and developers to expand the capabilities of the network all the whilst building their own businesses on top of things. These anchor providers may also set their own fee models and define access requirements for their services, creating new revenue opportunities.
The Globetrot Resolver facilitates the access. It is the discovery layer connecting users and agents with the anchor providers who then route volume across the network. The concept of opening it to these providers means any qualified developer or institution can make their services available throughout the official Keeta system, while consumers receive a consistent and compliance-focused way to discover them. Quite stunning!
Also, each listed anchor undergoes a compliance review before the onboarding and ongoing compliance oversight designed to foster a safer ecosystem for these users, developers, and institutional partners. The role of Globetrot is to take care of the discovery of qualified providers, instead of endorsing, certifying, and guaranteeing individual provider or its services. Terms and conditions are implemented.
And, in order to standardize this experience, all official Keeta products – including Keeta Personal, SDKs, APIs, developer tools, and partner integrations – will use the Globetrot Resolver for anchor discovery moving forward.
Easier-to-build financial infrastructure
Ty Schenk, the founder and the CEO of Keeta, chatted with RSF, saying, “Our vision has always been to make financial infrastructure easier to build and easier to access. Opening our ecosystem gives developers, fintechs, banks, and infrastructure providers a direct path to reach users, while ongoing compliance oversight makes it an environment institutions can actually trust.”
Fintech is the modernized version of traditional banking. Also referred to as financial technology, it comprises innovative software, algorithms, and digital platforms designed to improve, automate, and deliver financial services. It replaces or improves traditional banking and monetary processes, making financial transactions, lending, investing, and wealth management quicker, cheaper, and more accessible.
Keeta is the food delivery arm of Meituan, a Chinese company. This platform is building the financial infrastructure for the Internet economy, connecting traditional finance and blockchain networks on a single, high-performing platform.
