Careem, that Middle Eastern super-app, is making another history! It has recently launched Careem Quik, the artificial intelligence-powered grocery delivery network with the goal of reaching more residences in the United Arab Emirates.
“Quik is all about making life easier for our customers - from last-minute grocery runs to stocking up for the week. We’re excited to bring this experience to Al Ain, giving residents access to quality products and ultra-fast delivery at the tap of a button,” Abdulla Mohamad, the general manager of Careem Abu Dhabi, told Ridesharing Forum.
With this launch and partnership, residents in the following destinations – Al Tiwayya, Al Jimi, and Al Hili – could already be able to order the freshest fruits, vegetables, snacks, beverages, pantry staples, and everyday household items directly via the Careem app. The fresh produce is straight from the harvest as well, no old stocks.
Instead of queueing in long lines in grocery stores, and beating the stressful road traffic, customers could have these orders in as little as 15 minutes. This, since the new feature is powered by AI.
Aside from groceries, Careem Quik will also feature a perfectly curated selection of electronics, soon available in AI Ain. Customers could order the latest iPhones, Samsung devices, Dysons, and gaming consoles on-demand, thank you to Quik Electronics.
Plus, brace yourselves. More Quik darkstores will open, run by AI, before the end of this year, 2025, expanding access and coverage across the cities that the feature covers. Darkstores are retail spaces that functions as warehouses for fulfilling online orders, operating without public access for in-person shopping. Think of it as dropping, but stepped-up.
There’s more! To celebrate Quik’s launch, Careem will offer discounts for customers as they order their first three on the new platform. This makes it easier than ever to stock up on essentials in just a few taps. There will also be perks on free deliveries on every grocery order and discounts across the services of the app. This encompasses rides and food, as well as DineOut offers, which all offer savings like no other. Place those orders by downloading and launching the latest version of the app, then choose “Quik” on the homescreen.
