I have no idea why i received this today: A MESSAGE FROM UBER

I hope you find a way to get this worked out, Joe. Oh, and I also hope everyone on this thread heartless enough to be talking about his rating gets a few of those douchebag passengers who think giving a driver a 1 to avoid paying for a trip is cute. Let’s not pretend the ratings system doesn’t favor the passengers.

RIF = Reading Is Fundamental, but comprehension is key. I stated nothing about cancelling.

Cancellation rate needs to stay around 10%. They won’t deactivate you. Acceptance rate means absolutely nothing.

Please give me a moment while I stroke my ego. I was providing information to try and help. But I see the haters decided to chime in.

Sometimes it’s best to relax and realize someone may know a bit more than you do. Really, don’t come at me. Been doing this go for over 4 years.

It takes time to learn. You know what. I’ll be a fly on the wall and just laugh from now on. I watch the same questions and the same incorrect answers being posted from afar while I pay myself on the back.

I’m two years when you have no money for gas and can’t fix your car, as you jump on the bus to go to work. Remember me.

I had a 4.94 until the New Years Eve drunks that I would not let get in with open containers and/or cigarettes. These snowflakes don’t like to be told no and will take it out on you every time!

Uber was suppressing NYE ratings here in LA. My rating went untouched. Might be late now, but if you can figure out what trip(s) it was and emailed or called uber about having them suppressed because it was NYE surge drunks they may still suppress them.

I got a 4* because a ladies son was on the floor in the back and found a hair. She nailed me for cleanliness. Yet if her son was sitting in the seat instead of lying on the floor picking up trash it would’ve never happened

I kicked out a drunk last St. Patrick’s day. They suppressed the rating because I told uber he was cussing at me and threatened to beat me up. All taken care of.

Yes, I worked late night weekends when I started. I don’t need to work that shift to make a livable rate.

I stay away from bars / lounges that cater to young millennials.

There is one 4 blocks from me. I will pick up from the hotel in the morning but in the evening I let the ping go through.

If you ever have an issue with a location and their clientele just don’t go back there and service that business any longer.

It’s like this, if you pet a dog and it bites you, next time you see that dog, are you going to pet it?

first of all, you invited yourself to my comment in this forum along with the racist calling people “Snowflakes.” I thought you were FINALLY being gracious, but since I see you tried to “read” me, here goes…

I comprehend VERY WELL, and I know one of the quickest ways to get deactivated is to cancel after acceptance too many times, so yeah, that was bad advice. How do you drive off and not cancel? Explain THAT PART.

How am I a hater, and YOU’RE on a post kicking someone while they are down and wagging your finger? Self righteous much?

And in two years I will be finished with my Specialist degree headed into my Doctorate program so try not to use your “tactics” on everyone. Now leave my comment unless the hit dog wants to holler some more… :joy::joy::joy: #YouTriedIt

well here in Tampa Florida you gotta get the riders whenever and wherever you can in order to make any money! And we have two Universities here in Tampa as well as a large number of private colleges and technical schools. A LOT of young people.

Uber dumped me last week. Safety issues they said. Fuck them and the horse they right on.

Check your weekly rating emails. I never got a bad rating on Uber, but Lyft I did occasionally and it would tell you what the area of concern is. If enough people rated you low in a certain category I’m assuming that could have been the multiple reports of problematic behavior.

I got the exact same BS last week from FUber! with 2100 rides and a 4.9 rating

Nope and to this day don’t know for sure… I was reported for “making a rider feel uncomfortable” by asking for ID when she LOOKED 16-17 … turned out to be 25 and got upset… I even sent FUber the video from the dashcam of the entire trip…

They really need to address these type of situations in a more fair way. There are people out there that want to break the rules. If you do not allow them to(and if you do you could get in trouble)they will reach out to uber to purposefully get you in trouble with them. I realize Uber has a tough job trying to figure out who is telling the truth. I can prove it with a video. They are very quick to deactivate people without hearing both sides of a story.

I’ve been with Lyft ever since you know how many times I talked to support never with Uber it was every other minute

Here’s what you do to alleviate this. Go offline and immediately contact Uber/Lyft and tell them everything that happened. Then if the Pax decides to be a prick about it they at least have your story in there first and make sure you rate them immediately as well.

It’s saved my butt a couple of times, even told them I had dashcam footage to prove it, they didn’t need it but it went a lot further than a Pax living.

Never ever wait to report. Report it immediately.

Judging by emails you were reported 3 times for breaking road rules and likely won’t be reactivated.

Any time a pax reports you Uber tracks everything and compares it to maps including your speed and where you stopped. 3 infractions no matter how long your with uber will pull you from the network.

Let it go. It’s not a real job. Look at it as a blessing and that it’s time to move on to bigger and better things. Fuckem. They had a huge deactivation wave. They don’t give a shit about anyone but passengers. Years ago they were begging for drivers and offering any incentive they could to get someone to drive. It was impossible to get banned because they actually NEEDED drivers. Now they have too many drivers so they want to act all fresh like you are easily replaceable. Well screw them and their platform

Plus they steal your tips through the app

Do any of you cherry pick. Meaning do you call pax before picking them up? Maybe that has something to do with it and they aren’t telling people.

u refused coz he would go without any parent right .?if yes , u did right thing.they text us that driver couldn’t pick up kid go school without parent.

Uber and Lyft have been advertising like crazy over here in the WA area. They want new drivers who get paid 5% less.

This is why I would never do rideshare as my main and only income. It’s too easy to lose your income. That right there is bullshit! In a normal company, HR (or a union) would hear your side and make a decision from there. I’m not saying you can’t get fired from a regular job without due process, but it’s much harder!
