‘I Felt Cheated’: foodpanda Customer Spills Tea Vs. Platform, Got Wrong Orders 6x In Under 2 Months

For most of you, you may laugh this off because, for sure, you always get the right orders via foodpanda or other major delivery platforms. However, for this customer who aired his grievances over at, get this, Straits Times! – a huge publication in Southeast Asia – he felt he was cheated after getting wrong orders not just once, not just twice… not just thrice!

The Straits Times now knows

The Straits Times is probably the first newspaper you will see inside 7-Eleven convenience stores in Singapore, as it is the most popular daily English-language newspaper in the country.

Now, this newspaper has its Stomp section on its online platform, which is where ordinary Singaporeans can contribute news and photos. And yes, the complainant is most probably Singaporean and even shared photos of what he got instead of the right orders via foodpanda.

"Please share this because it is too much,” they wrote in The Straits Times.

He goes by the name Stomper Axl who said he has gotten wrong orders from famous establishments like McDonald’s. Not just once, not just twice, not just thrice, but six times in within just two months.

“Stomper Axl is upset that the food he orders from different F&B establishments via Foodpanda is never quite the same as what actually arrives,” wrote the correspondent on The Straits Times, who shared his story.

Let’s start with his McDonald’s orders. He ordered a Double Prosperity Burger but got an ordinary burger. Then, after four orders from other restaurants, he tried McDonald’s again to order a strawberry sundae with a group of orders, but the ice cream was missing when it arrived. Usually, you only get missing utensils, right? Share your thoughts by signing up now on the Ridesharing Forum.

His other orders were from Subway wherein he got the wrong cookie, from Nenek Recipe where he paid for the extra chili but did not get this, from D’ Rubinah Restaurant wherein the kway teow goreng was entirely different from the photo, and missing cokes with his shawarma from Arab Turkish & Western Restaurant.

Restaurants don’t want to refund

Wait until you hear the best part. Those restaurants, not a single one of them, did not want to refund his lost orders!

"We’ve thoroughly reviewed the details of your case and won’t be able to process any refund,” the report quoted the customer support teams saying.

So, in these instances, who is in the wrong? The customer, the restaurant, or the delivery rider?

Nevertheless, foodpanda is willing to “compensate”… by improving their services?
