Here’s How College Students Could Score Deals Via Grubhub, More Perks With Grubhub+ Student

Long gone are the days when students need to fall in stressful long queues just to get their lunches or snacks in the cafeteria. Several schools are already teaming up with Grubhub to allow kids to order their food via the app. Here’s the story.

Grubhub+ Student

Over at Binghamton University in New York, students, faculty, and staff can start ordering meals from famous campus retail dining spots via the Grubhub app, as well as get perks via the Grubhub+ Student feature. Just like what other schools are doing.

Last week, the university’s Dining Services announced that students could now order meals from various campus retail locations on the Grubhub mobile app.

“[The Binghamton University Dining Services] is thrilled to have Grubhub as our new mobile ordering app!” Lori Benson, the director of marketing, told Ridesharing Forum. “Students can skip the line and order ahead and it’s easy to link your meal plan to your account. Promotions and discounts will be available throughout the year.”

Students and faculty must simply just download Grubhub and link their student accounts, as they place orders on any of these food marketplaces: the John Arthur Café Presents: Einstein Bros. Bagels, the Hungry Bearcat, Garbanzo, and the Library Tower Café. Food from the dining halls is excluded, though.

This partnership between Grubhub and Binghamton University will offer better flexibility and convenience in how the pupils utilize their meal plans. This way, it is ever easier for students to grab their food while navigating their busy schedules.

Binghamton University joins over 350 other universities in the country, which include the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Tampa and the University of Missouri. Today, over 4.5 million students are able to use the Grubhub mobile ordering option.

The initiative comes one year after Grubhub expanded its campus dining program to over 360 universities nationwide, including other public education institutions like the University of Alabama at Birmingham, the University of Tampa and the University of Missouri. BU students are now part of over 4.5 million students who can use this mobile ordering option.

“These fresh and new updates create a dining experience that is flexible, inclusive, and exciting,” Benson further noted. “Students will have access to great food and memorable experiences that connect our campus community.”
