Recently, Grubhub announced a new feature: multi-store ordering. According to reports, this is a way to make customers feel more convenient, as they can access multiple items in one order.

With this brand-new feature, you can place orders for food, drinks, grocery items, and so much more. This also helps streamline the checkout process and unify the delivery fee model.
There are also no interferences with walking away with the prize with this new feature, since it is a way for the brand to commit to staying agile amidst competition from brands, such as Instacart, that offer similar services.

Cases vs. New York City
Meanwhile, in other recent Grubhub news, the food delivery app has filed lawsuits against New York City over laws that the platform claims boost minimum wages for delivery workers and cap how much the companies can charge restaurants for delivering meals.
The settlement filed this week in federal and state courts in Manhattan would let the companies sometimes charge more than what they can within the current law, which the city adopted in May 2020 in response to what was happening at that time.
A spokesperson from Grubhub stated that the settlement buys restaurant owners “greater ability to reach customers while preserving important safeguards for their business.”
Apart from Grubhub, the lawsuit was also filed by DoorDash and Uber, but the two firms did not release their official statements.
However, the three apps agree with each other that the caps deprived them of their constitutional right to contract with restaurants, as well as are forcing them to operate in the city at a loss while giving up hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.
They also warned they would have to pass the costs of higher and better wages to consumers, hurting restaurants.
